It was a normal day. Me and Dereck, my future Beta, were running a patrol. We decided to take a break, we had been running for awhile. As i layed there, I got lost in my thoughts. 'I wonder what kind of Aplha I'll be....." I was so lost that when Dereck spoke to me it scared me. "You O.K. Liam?" I heard Dereck ask me through the pack mind link, bringing me back from my thoughts. "Ya, I'm fine." I sent him. I began to walk forward, motioning for Dereck to follow. We were walking towards a lake to get a drink. As we drew near, I heard laughter and a small whimper. I went and hid behind a bush to watch. Dereck followed me. I saw a few males, who i didn't recognized, beating Alec Swan, my future Omega. I took a deep breath and the males scents showed that they were rogues. "Lia, Dom, Shaun, come to the Eastern Border lake." I sent to some of my fellow packmates that were also classmates and close friends. "Why?" Lia sent back to me. "Rogues are in our territory and are beating Alec.." Dereck said as I was watching the males. {GO!!}My father, the current alpha, ordered. "And be careful, these males might be dangerous. Lia when the rogues are distracted, bring Alec to the healer." My father said in the pack mind link, as Lia, Dom, and Shaun arrived. We were making plans on how we were going to attack, but s loud yelp of pain made us whip our heads and I saw one of the males had bitten Alec and was putting a death grip on his throat and it looked like he was killing him. 'Hell Na' thats my Omega to almost kill and beat!!!!!' I thought as I attacked. "Nice thought Liam." Lia sent me as I attacked. Dom, Dereck and Shaun followed suit. I tackled the male and he loosened his grip on Alec's throat alittle. "ALEC GO!!" I growled out to Alec. {Lia, take Alec and GO!!} I commanded. The rogue took this distraction and he bite into my shoulder, causing me to yelp. (A/N i know i said that italics were for pack link but im on ipod typing this so { } will be used from now) I growled as I shook the male off. I saw Lia leading Alec and a rogue was following them. {Lia dont go straight to the house there is a rogue following you} I sent Lia, but was caught off gaurd as the male I was fighting with tackled me. {I'll help them} Dereck said as he shot off after them. I focused my attention back to the rogue. It was just me and Shuan against three rogues. "I will enjoy killing you pup." The leader

rogue said. I growled as Shuan and I attacked the other two rogues. In a matter of minutes we finished the two. "Stay out of this no matter what happens." I told Shuan. I focused really hard on the male. He was large, had a tall frame, and was muscular. I realized that I was smaller and had the upper hand. {He is large so he wont be able to keep up if I do quick movements.} I sent to Shuan. I saw a flash of black and yelped as the rogue bite into my left hind leg. He let go and jumped back. It was a little while later I made my move. I would fake an attack and then move away at the last minute. He was growing tired so I made a move to the left. He tried to follow but his size went against him. I snuck under him and latched my jaws onto his neck. He yelped as I moved my teeth around until I found his windpipe. I bite down hard when I found it. He was dragging me around with my jaws clamped tightly around his neck. He began to slow and eventually dropped onto the ground. I released his neck and tore his heart out just to make sure he wasnt acting.

Alec's P.O.V

I was quite as I followed Lia. My left hip was hurting badly. I could hear Dereck and a rogue fighting. I wanted to stop and make sure he was O.K when Lia said, "Alec, Dereck will be O.K. He is a big boy and can handle himself alright?" "O.K." Was all I said. I jumped as Dereck came bounding up behind me."Sorry little dude." Dereck said as he walked beside me and Lia. All I gave him was a quick nod. I was wondering how Liam, my future Alpha, and Shuan were doing. I would have asked but since I'm the omega, I dont have the pack mind link to ask. 'Guess I just have to wait-' My thoughts were cut short as I heard Liam howling a victory. My ears lowered as I heard Lia and Dereck join him. I cant join in pack howls, but if a higher ranked member told me to, then I can howl. So I just sat there wondering what punishment I would get for having rogues fighting me in the territory. A nudge from Lia told me we were to start walking again. I sighed as I the healer met up with us. "My, my Alec you sure did get a beating. Does any of your joints hurt?" She asked. "No." I lied as she was putting a healing cream on my cuts. I didnt realize I had shifted to my

human form. "O.K. I'm done." She said as I walked to the Alpha's office. As I was walking away I heard Dereck say, "Damn omega, causing trouble for Liam and Alpha..." I winced at his words but kept walking. I didn't realize I was almost to the Alpha's office when I heard voices arguing. "WHY DO I HAVE TO DO IT?! HE IS A FREAKING OMEGA!!! HE WON'T LEARN ANYTHING!!!!" I heard Liam shouting. "Liam, he needs to know how to fight. He may be an omega, but until you become Alpha and know what breed of wolf he is, you WILL care for him and NEVER question me again." His father, Calvin said. I knocked on the door.
