Alec's POV
I whimpered as Liam chased me. I knew I should have told him but I honestly forgot. I ran to 'No Man's Land' a place between pack territories. Alpha's almost never go there. Liam stopped immediately. "Get back here!" He growled out. "Let me explain first." I whimpered out. "Fine." He grumbled and sat down. I inched a little closer, but not leaving no mans land. "Luka is my Alpha mate, as in he rules by side, but not as Luna. He goes to council meetings for me when I can't and he rules the pack when I'm gone. We dated once, but realized we were better as friends. The council kept bothering me about having someone to rule in my place when I'm gone. They said my Beta wasn't enough so I took Luka as my Alpha Mate. Its different than Luna, it means two Alpha Males are ruling and neither are Subs. My wolf is a Dom, but my human form is a Sub. That is what the pup was grumbling about. I should have told you sooner, but honestly I forgot because you're my Mate and he isn't so.... ya." I told him all in one breathe. I watched his eyes for a reaction. ".... Did you call that wolf a pup?" He asked. "Yea, in my pack pups are trained to fight at a young age. We have pups who can fight, apprentices who fight in battles and warriors who fight in wars or very big battles." I explained. "So.... you and him are just friends?" He asked. "Yes." I said softly. "Ok.... I get it. Come on, the pack is worried." Liam said as he stood and took off towards the pack house. I gave a wolfy grin as I followed. I could tell Liam wasn't angry anymore because of the link. I'm not quite ready to be fully mated. Liam knew and respected that. I stopped and growled as I sensed a unwanted presence. [Whats wrong?] Liam linked me. [I don't know... stay close] I linked back as Liam trotted back to me. We slowly made our way back. Soon the presence made itself known. It was a pup. "Callie what are you doing here?!" Liam asked the young pup. "I saw you both runaway palying tag and I wanted to play." She said happyliy. 'Damn pups and children... annoy the hell out of me...'I thought as I walked past the two. They soon followed me and we reached the back entrance. Liam shifted and went inside. I stayed outside for a bit standing guard. I knew the rogues wouldnt make another attack knowing I was here, but I know HE would. I was about to go back in when I saw a pair of I eyes I would never forget. One blue eye and one blood red. I growled and launched myself at him.
