Chapter 3 Dereck's POV

---------------------------------------------- I mentally slapped Chris. {He's dead} I sent to Shuan. "What are you doing here Liam?" Chris asked Liam as he kicked Alec in the side. {Yep, no beats Alec except Liam} Shuan sent back. {Shut it you two} Liam sent to both of us. "Again, whats going on in here?" Liam asked again as he stepped towards Chris and Alec. "Um, just a regular Monday date, whats it to you?" Chris said. "Wrong answer junior." I said as Liam hit Chris square in the jaw. I looked at the freshman and they ran like scared pups.
Liam's P.O.V
I punched Chris square in the jaw. I heard the freshman leaving. "Ow, what the f*ck man??!" Chris asked me as I picked Alec up, bridal style. I went straight to the office. The principal was in the pack so he wrote us a note saying we could leave. {Lia, come to the car} I sent her. She didn't respond, but she met us at the car. We got in and Dereck drove us home. I took Alec straight to the healer. She was worried, saying something about his wolf not healing him. I didn't pay attention. I was to worried about Alec. My dad and Beta came bursting into the room. "What is going on?! I smelt bl~" He didn't finish as he saw Alec. "Is he alright? Liam what happened? Why is your hand bruised?" My father asked. "One, I didn't do this to Alec. Two, some junior was beating the crap out of him and smashed his head into a mirror." I explained. "And your hand?" "Alpha Liam hit the guy who was beating Alec." Dereck said to my defense. "Hn.... My head hurts." Alec said as he woke back up. "Well you did get your head bashed so...." I said as Dereck wrapped my hand. "What should I tell Dom?" Dereck asked. "Shit I forgot he was in the car." "Tell him about us and bring him in." My dad said, shortly after Dereck left following orders. "Ummm, what about my homework?" Alec asked. "Do you have someone who could meet up with Liam after school tomorrow?" My mother asked. "Ummmm ya let me text him." Alec said as he pulled out his phone. "Tell him to meet me at the football field." I said as I left the room heading to my room.
TIME SKIP Cornination Calvin's POV
"Thank you all for coming." I said as everyone stopped talking. "As you all know, Liam has turned 18. It is rare for a wolf to be corinated the same night as his birthday." I said as I scanned my eyes over every pack member. {John, get Dereck, we are doing his corination first.} I sent to John. "We will be corinating Dereck, Liam's Beta. Dereck turned 18 last week, but I wanted to corinate them at the same time." I said with a nervous chuckle. "John you have served me for a very long time. You are the best Beta any Alpha could ask for. You are also one of my closets friends." I told John as they came up to the stage. "Are you ready to pass this honor and responsibility on to your son?" I asked John in my Alpha's voice, releasing some of my power onto the pack. I looked John in the eye as he answered. "Yes Alpha. Dereck has proven himself worthy of serving under your son and his future mate will also and his future Alphas." John said as I saw slight tears forming. "Then, pass it on to Dereck." I told him as I backed away.
Liam's POV
(A/N: sorry for POV changes so much, I just want to get everyones view in) I was sitting next to my mom, I was watching my father. "Dereck, my son, you are the best son any father could ask for. I am honored *pause for a small sniffle* to pass on the role of being a Beta onto you." Everyone chuckled as John grew emotional. "I pass onto you the role of Beta." John said as he placed his hand on top of Dereck's shoulder. I could feel the power going into Dereck. "Now, I bow, not to my son, but to my Beta." John said as he bowed. Everyone except my mother, father, and me bowed to Dereck. "I am honored to be your Beta." Dereck adressed the pack. "Now, I corinate my son." My father said. "I have been proud to be your Alpha and your father. You have shown strength, wisdom and mercy. All the traits for being a great Alpha. You have proven yourself worthy of being an Alpha." My father addressed me as I walked up onto the stage. I nodded my head as I wasn't suppose to talk yet. "I am honored to make you, Liam McClain, Alpha of the NightCore Pack." My father said as He placed his hand on my shoulder. I felt a wave of power come over me. I could feel my wolf purring with satisfaction. "I bow to you, Liam, my Alpha." My father said as everyone bowed. "I am honored to be your Alpha. I will rule this pack as best I can. I will give my life for this pack." I said as I stood before everyone and growled my approval. "Now, we celebrate!" My mother said as music started. Dereck, Lia, and Shuan all came up to me and bared their necks. I nodded saying, "I am going to have to get use to that." They all chuckled. "Well, lets howl." I said as we shifted and howled. Everyone joined. Even those who didn't shifted. 'Life will be great.' I thought as I lost myself in the party.
Alec's POV
I was chasing a mouse in the back near the place where the party was. Liam howled and everyone, except me, joined in. "You should join the party Alec." I jumped as Liam's mother bounded up to me in her wolf form. "N-no, I'm fine. Omega's aren't allowed." I told her as I sat down. "It won't feel like I'm Alpha with you there Alec, your my Omega." I heard Liam growl as he walked over to me. I bowed and said, "O-ok, Alpha." Liam just growled and walked back to the party,'swishing his fluffy black tail- NO BAD ALEC! His tail is not fluffy I scolded myself. 'This is going to be a long night.' I thought as I followed Liam.
NEXT DAY Liam's POV
I woke up feeling restless. 'Guess it comes with being Alpha.' I thought as I got dressed. I had to get up early because Seniors had to take finals. "Dereck, Lia, and Shuan already left." My mom said as I entered the kitchen. "Ok, I'll be goin then." I said as I got in my car. I drove to school and as I was getting out of my car, my dad texted me. [Don't forget to get Alec's homework..... Alpha.] [K] was all I sent back. The day went by fast. Dereck, Lia and Shuan were all busy in classes, so I had to spend the day alone. Well, Dom was with me and he seemed cool with the were wolf stuff. "Text you later Liam, gotta pick the sis up." Dom said as he rushed off. As I neared the football field I saw another senior. 'That's Luka (A/N: AGAIN I DO NOT OWN LUKA CROSSZERIA) Crosszeria. Why would he be here?' I thought to myself as I neared him. "Are you Liam?" Luka asked me as I stopped in front of him. "Ya, you know Alec Swan?" I asked him with a blank expression. "Yes, here's his homework. I have time after school so I am able to get it for him." Luka said as he handed me a bunch of books. "Uh, ya um, o-ok, I'll give this to him. Why does he have so much homework?" I asked as I put the stuff in my back-pack. "He has mostly honors classes." Luka said as he walked away. "Uuuhhh cool." I said as I walked to my car. 'Honors? And I thought he was as dumb as he fought.' I thought as I walked into the pack house. "Dad!" No answer. "DAD!" Still no answer. "DAAAAAAAAAD!!!!" I screamed. He still didn't answer. "He went on a hunt with your mom and Dereck's parents, A-alpha." I turned around when I heard Alec's voice. "Glad he left a not." I mumbled as I looked at Alec's beaten face. "D-did you s-say something A-alpha?" Alec asked nervously. "Here's your homework, almost all honors." I was teasing him. He blushed as he said, "T-thanks, and my fri-classmate texted me and said this math assignment is hard." He said as he began to turn away. {Liam, bond with Alec} My dad sent me. {Fine} I sent back. "Wait, um, I can help you, I have honors math so..." I didn't finish that sentence. "O-ok, thanks Alpha." Alec said with a smile. 'Cute, wait what? Did I just call Alec cute? Well he is kinda- FOCUSE' I mentally slapped myself.
HOUR LATER
"Thanks Alpha! You really helped." Alec said. "Ya whatever, *sigh* now I have to practice Romeo and Juliet lines in Spanish, stupid college spanish course." I said with a growl. "I can help. I'm half hispanic, so I could that in my sleep, since I lived two years in El Salvador." I looked at him like he had three eyes. "Sure." I said handing him my notes. We had gotten to the kiss scene. 'Crap this is the hardest part and Alec is saying them so easily!' I thought. I noticed that as we got closer to the kiss, we were leaning towards each other. Before I knew it, I had crushed my lips to his. "MATE!" I heard my wolf scream. 'WHAT?! A-alec's my mate?!' I thought. I realized I was still kissing him. I pulled back and bolted out the house. I shifted to my wolf and sprinted away.
Alec's POV
I was saying Juliet's part when I realized how close we were. I was going to pull back, but all of a sudden Liam kissed me. Not a peck on the lips. No, a full out lips bruising kiss. "MATE!!" My wolf screamed. 'But, I'm Omega!' I thought as I just was frozen to the spot. "But you were born an Alpha remember." My wolf said back to me. Liam pulled away and bolted. I wouldn't blame him., a straight guy kissing another guy? That would scare him. 'I should leave, he's Alpha now, so he might banish me.' I thought as I ran from the house. I ran to my lake house my fa-sire bought me. I have MAJOR father issues. So, I call him sire. I called Clavin, Liam's dad and told him everything and where I was. I decided to stay away and give Liam some space, which we both need. I decided to think about this later and take a nap.
Calvin's POV
I was shocked at what Alec told me. "I wouldn't be surprised Calvin, Liam has always been more interested in guys." Mary, my mate, told me. "*sigh* True, but Alec? Why did it have to be Alec? Liam's Omega? I'm afraid Liam might reject him. If he does, Alec will never be the same." I began to rant. I was worried for both of them. Liam was too stubborn to accept his mate is a guy. Alec is too submissive to fight for Liam's acceptance. 'I have an idea.' I thought as I called Beta (Dereck), Lia, and Shuan to meet me in the office. "You called for us Calvin?" Lia asked me. "I have a few questions for you guys." I told them as I was pacing. "Shoot." They all said. "One, if Liam was gay and is mate was a guy would you guys still follow him? Two, can you ask the pack the first question as secretly as possible and tell me the answers?" I asked them as I prepared for shouting. "Lia, you ask the pups, Shuan, you handle the adults, I'll handle the Deltas and elders." I heard Dereck command. "Clavin, we always suspected Liam of liking guys, we are just waiting to ask him. And we will always follow him." Lia said as they walked out. "...T-thanks." I said as I sighed in relief.
Liam's POV
'Alec, why Alec? It couldn't have been Allie? Or Maddie?' I thought as I paced my room. How I got here from that run, I don't remember. '*sigh* Guess I'll just sleep on it.' I thought as I got ready for bed.
NEXT DAY
I woke up right on time. I got dressed in some black skinny jeans, a blue long sleeve and my favorite black leather jacket. I went downstairs to find Dereck, Lia, and Shuan there. "Where's Dom?" I asked. I remembered that Dereck had him sleepover. "Dom took Alec to school Liam." My dad answered me. "*growl* How dare he let another male near our mate." I heard my wolf growl. "One, he is not our mate. Two, pipe down." I told my wolf as I ate breakfast. "Sooooo...... Beta, *giggles* How you been?" I heard Lia tease Dereck. "Oh shut up Lia, it's not that big a deal." Dereck teased back. "We should head to school if we want to finish up those tests. Xavier, call me if I am needed." I said to everyone as I got up. "Yes Alpha." Xavier, my Delta in charge, answered. We all piled into my car. I pulled into a parking spot just as Lia started to sing along to Justin Bieber (A/N: srry idk how to spell his last name if this spelling is wrong). "To bad..." I teased her as we walked into the school. "Alec! Alec! Alec!" I heard people chanting my Omega's "MATE!" name. "HE IS NOT OUR MATE!" I yelled at my wolf. "What the hell is going on?" I heard Lia ask a freshman. "Chris and Alec are fighting, and ALEC IS WINNING!!!" The freshman told Lia. We pulled some kids out of the way. And sure enough Alec was beating the SHITacki mushrooms out of Chris. {Serves him right.} I sent to the others. "HEY BREAK IT UP!" I shouted as I picked Alec up and carried him over my shoulder to my locker. We got a few confused looks as to why a freshman and a senior were talking. I set Alec down and stared at him. "What the hell happened?" I questioned him. "Damn Alec, I have a feeling Chris won't bother you anymore after that face job." Dom said excitedly. "Here Liam look." I looked at a picture Lia took of Chris. "Daaaaaaa~mn, you beat his as$!" I told Alec. I realized I wasn't doing what I meant to. "*cough* You never answered me Alec. What happened?" I asked a second time. He looked nervous to answer but he looked at my cold stare and opened up like a book. "Well, I was walking past Chris when I heard him call you a 'Fag loving, whore fucking, dickhead.' I snapped and then you got there." Alec told us. "Well, I couldn't have done it better myself." Lia said as Dom, Dereck, and Shuan agreed. "Well, next time contact me. I don't need a Omega to defend me." I said as I walked to my fist pissed.
Alec's POV
(A/N: might stay in Alec's pov for a while) I mentally cried as I watched Liam walk away. 'I try and try and look what I get. Whatever.' I thought as I walked to my class. "Alec!!!!!!" I heard my name being screamed. I suddenly saw brown hair and brown eyes hugging me. "*chuckle* Hi Jen. Hey Fane." I greeted my two friends. "Hey" Was all Fane said. "Man of many words speaks again!" I shouted. "*lol* Alec where were you?" "Gomen, I was sick." I lied to my friends a lot about when I miss school. "Awwww Alec, don't shut us out." Jen whined as class started. I didn't realize that the day had gone by fast until it was time for lunch. "Ima get a pizza." I told Jen as I waited in line. I got my food and sat at our bench. Jen and Fane soon joined me. "Sup' my little sexy emo?" I heard Blake greet me. "Nuthin much my big smexy b*tch." I greeted him back. There was silence at our table, then we all burst out laughing. I ate my pizza in silence till Fane poked me. "Huh?" I asked him. "We are going to the mall after school wanna come?" Fane offered me. "Sure." was all I said. Soon we were at the mall. I was a little stressed from quarters and finals so this felt nice. Jen was going crazy about the new stores. I passed the tattoo shop and stopped. Fane bumped into me. I texted Luka to come and he got here quickly. We walked into the tattoo place and Luka being 18 was able to get me a lip piercing. I got a vertical labret.   It was awesome. I texted Jen to meet us at the cafeteria. Luka and I got there and Jen, Fane, and Blake were already there. We got food and were talking for awhile. Jen kept freaking out about my new piercing. I just teased her every time. I was looking down at my phone when all of a sudden a pain shot up my back. I was able to hold back a yelp but I was really tense. "Hey, its the seniors that pulled you off Chris Alec." Jen said as I looked over my shoulder. I saw Liam and bolted.
