Chapter 25 – Singing messages
Clare’s POV
“Great show guys, it was amazing!” I smiled as they came in after finishing another show. It was their 4th and last one in Sydney and then had 3 in Melbourne. It was going to be a very busy week.
“Thanks!” Niall grinned kissing me on the cheek. “But you say that every time”
“It’s true every time” I wink as we both collapsed on the couch next to Alyce while Liam, Louis and Zayn took the other couch and Harry sat on the floor between Lou’s legs. I talked to the boys about the concert, our usual ritual now, but unusually, Alyce wasn’t partaking. Her eyes were focused on her phone and every time it went off she would grin like an idiot.
“Okay, who are you texting?” Zayn said. Alyce looked up in surprise.
“Whoa! When did you guys finish? No scratch that, when did you come in here?” She replied, as if bewildered by the boy’s sudden appearance.
“Alyce we’ve been in here for like 10 minutes” Louis answered.
“What? No way” she shook her head. Her phone went off again and that pure grin of happiness spread over her face again.
“Seriously who is that!?” Niall exclaimed.
“Calm your farm you leprechaun. It’s just Robbie” a blush covered her cheeks when she said his name. I couldn’t help but notice that Harry tensed up at the sound of Alyce texting another guy. I, unfortunately, see a love triangle forming in the future.
“Hang on, do you mean Robbie as in Robbie from our music history class? The totally hot one that you flirt with all the time?” I interrogate.
“Yes that Robbie. Now if you don’t mind, I’ll be going back to texting my boyfriend” Alyce huffed and pulled her hair over her shoulder making a barrier between her and the rest of us. All the boys, especially a certain curly haired one, looked as shocked as I felt at her statement.
“BOYFRIEND?!” I screeched. “Why didn’t you tell me!? Not that I’m not supporting you or anything, I mean I couldn’t be happier but why didn’t you tell me!?”
“Oh my god you calm down! Clare how was I supposed to tell you, a girl who was basically in depression because what she deemed to be the love of her life cheated on her with some drunken whore,” Niall winced beside me, “that I was falling in love with someone? You weren’t exactly in the right person for me to be gushing over a guy with at the time” Alyce explained.
“I was not depressed!”
“Seriously, that’s all you got out of my little rant? I give up!” she muttered and turned back to her phone.
“You were in a depressed state?” Niall whispered in my ear.
“No, Alyce is just trolling” I shook my head.
“You have a boyfriend?” I heard Harry whisper it was so quiet I barely heard. Louis patted the jealous boys head. Soon after we all left the convention centre and were back chilling in the hotel rooms.
Needing to distract myself from sheer boredom I decided to get on twitter. Yes, I finally made an account. Don’t ask me why. I plonked on the couch as I opened her laptop. I stalked Lydia’s page seeing as I hadn’t really talked to her properly in 3 days, and the last time we did it was a fight. I clicked on her page and what I saw confused me. Over the past three days, she had put up really weird tweets about this Pickle person, whoever they were I couldn’t help but be a little bit jealous. I mean, this person seemed to be spending a lot of time with Lydia.
