It was going to be a perfect day. There weren't classes in the morning which was a boon from the Almighty himself. Instead we were called to make arrangements for the night out we were to have in school after the match in the evening. It was bound to be fun!

"How much more time are you going to take" Lisa shouted from downstairs as I packed my bag with necessary stuff I may require for the one night stay. "Almost done" I said as I squeezed the puffed backpack with lots of effort to fasten the zip.

I went down and gulped the orange juice poured into a glass. "Slow" Lisa eyed me strangely, munching on a chocolate bar in the morning. "Yeah" I said as I washed the glass and returned, wiping my wet hands on my top.

"Your enthusiasm seems to have come back" she noticed, lifting one eyebrow. "Yeah it happens when special people care for you" I laughed, being in a very good mood. "Ahem" Lisa coughed.

"What is it with you? Why do I feel like you are referring to someone in particular?" she eyed me like I was carrying a grenade or something. "Because maybe I am" I smiled and walked towards the door.

Lisa went to drink water but kept looking at me. "I want to know what's going on in that brain of yours" she said. "Okay, here goes" I breathed in while she took a sip from the bottle.

"I guess I love Dan" I smiled innocently and shrugged. Liz almost spat the water out and started coughing as she choked on whatever amount she had gulped. "What!" she managed to say in a raspy cracked voice as she steadied herself.

"That reaction though" I widened my eyes and broke into a loud laugh. "I thought you weren't serious about that crush stuff" Lisa said seriously. "Not serious?" I asked, narrowing my eyes. "Lisa, it's not up to me, it's my brain that does all this. Falling for someone is my brain's fault"

"Whatever it may be, love isn't something you take for granted" she said as we stepped out and unlocked out bikes. Love advices were all just new to me, like some alien land.

We arrived at school, locked our bicycles and made our way to the school auditorium. "Ms. Mayers, good that you've come early, I need some help in putting this up" Ms. Emmett pointed at some banners and posters that had to be put on the walls and the boards. "Okay ma'am" I smiled. "Thanks a lot dear, take these pins and this stapler" she handed me the items and left for carrying out another task.

"These are so many!" Lisa complained. "But it's easier than arranging all the chairs and cleaning the grounds" I told her. We stood on chairs and started putting up the charts on the places decided by us when Mel and Theo arrived.

"Hey girls, busy?" Mel asked. "No we are just hanging out you know, movies and all" I said sarcastically, stretching my arms to hold the big poster that read 'We can do it! Go team!'. "Haha, very funny, should I help?" she asked. "No Mel, I'm good. Thanks" I smiled.

"This chair is shaking!" Lisa said and demonstrated by moving her body which made the chair rattle as well. "This task is going to cost my life!" she cried, being the over dramatic human that she was. "Here, now it won't" Theo laughed and put his hands on her hips. Lisa looked like she could faint out of joy.

"Thor, you got to steady the chair, not her" I laughed hard, to which he turned deep pink in the cheeks. "Yeah" he held the chair while Lisa continued doing the work, passing me her over happy grinning expressions for all the attention she was getting.

After all was done, we had lunch and waited for evening, for our very awaited match.

The school playground looked even better than last year, it appeared to me like a professional football stadium. The vibes from the crowd and the wonderful cheerleaders made it seem perfect. I waved to Kam as she rocked the cheerleading outfit of our school.
