You're sitting on your comfortable bed,
On the edge, your legs hang lazily,
You open the drawer on your nightstand,
Pulling out a razor,

You can see the dried blood from the previous times you've used it,
You suddenly have tears spilling down your cheeks,
The tears dropping onto your scarred thighs,
You grip the blade tightly,

Uncovering your left arm from under the sheets,
You can see the scars of deep cuts,
You've lost count of how many there are,
More tears spilling out,

You try to stop shaking,
Your vision half blurred by the tears,
You put the razor over your skin,
Hovering a milimeter above your arm,

You harshly press down,
Running a deep cut accross the width of your arm,
The beautiful sensation of pain rushes to you,
You wince slightily, familiar for what's to come,

The sharpness and coolness of the blade don't surprise you,
Instead you embrace the feeling of pain running throughout your body,
You remember this feeling all too well,
You've known it far too long,

You grip the blade and once more run a deep cut,
You do it again,
And again,
And again,

Until your sobbing has calmed down,
And all blood has stopped dripping from your wrists,
You turn to your thighs, covered only by shorts,
You pull the shorts up,

Your grip on the blade tightening once more,
But this time you don't do simple straight cuts,
You cut deep, angled lines all over your left and right thighs,
Blood slipping out and onto the scarred skin,

You quickly clean everything up,
Your fresh cuts on your wrists sting as you cover them up with sleeves,
But before you pull down your shorts,
You look at your thighs,

Some blood still on them,
But the deep angled cuts clearly spell out words,
All of them that you hate about yourself or have been called by,
But the biggest word,

The one you cut the deepest,
The one that drew out the most blood,
The one that is blurred by the tears in your eyes,
But can still clearly see,

It was the most impactful word ever said to you and the one you believe the most...
