Betty woke up and was immediately confused.
"Jughead?" She said. "What are you doing in here? My mom's gonna kill you!"
"Betty, it's 6 in the morning. Calm down. I'll just climb down from your window or something" I said, assuringly. "Jug, we're on the second floor. No you will not be doing that," Betty said.
I didn't end up going down the window. Betty and I just stayed in her bed and talked. We talked about Toni, the serpents, school, everything. I still wasn't even sure if we were together again. I mean, I think we were. I just hadn't brung up the topic yet.
"Listen Betty. I'm really sorry about Toni. I'm beyond sorry. I do love you so much. Toni.... she wasn't my rebound. She kissed me and gave me this shitty tattoo," I hate using cuss words in front of Betty.
"Your tattoo isn't shitty. It's you. It has the beanie to prove that. And I love you, too. I can't be mad at you for long because of this, you do realize that?" She asked me.
"No, no. Crap, Betty!" I looked at the clock. It was 11:23 and I completely forgot I had to be at the white wyrme at 11:30. "Betty, I have to go. Now. I'll call you," I said as I climbed out the window.
"Forsythe Pendleton Jones the third. Always late, no?" She smiled at me as I climbed down, facing her.
