[Note] Sorry guys, this isn't a competition anymore. Hope you enjoy the story :)
[A/N] BilboRoth and I had a competition as to who could make the best Doctor Who fanfic. The storyline had to be something like this: all of Ten and Eleven's Companions, including Jack and River, meet up. This is my version. Please vote, comment and share so we can see who has won and so I can post more of my story! You can check out her story too, I will post the name of her's on my message board. And, of course, anyone who votes will get a free invisible zebra. Share the names of your zebras in the comments. Boundivertimento! (Enjoy!)
(Doctor's POV)
Rose padded out of her room that morning in her pyjamas with a severe case of bed hair. I turned around. "Morning!" I said. "Sleep OK?"
She grunted and turned a corner to the kitchen.
I muttered under my breathe. "Yes, Doctor, thanks for asking, how about you?"
I ran around the console and checked our position. We were getting a little close to a 1900. I yanked a lever, quickly. Since I had taught Rose how to fly the TARDIS, she would recognise what I was doing. Well, maybe. Maybe not. You know, probably not. But there was always that possibility.
Still keeping my eyes on the console, I turned around and yelled towards the kitchen. "Rose, get me something to eat, will you?"
There was a few seconds of silence, then a pear flew out of the kitchen and landed at my feet. I kicked it away. "Rose, how many times have I told you? I hate pears!"
She came out of the kitchen with a smirk on her face, a bowl of cereal in one hand and a piece of toast in the other. The threw the latter towards me like a frisbee and I caught it in my mouth. I took a bite, keeping my eyes on her. Something awkward hung in the air between us. I looked away. Rose broke the silence.
"Don't you always say something about bread crumbs on the console?" My eyes widened and I backed away from the console. I patted the TARDIS.
"Sorry, Sexy."
Rose narrowed her eyes at me.
"Hope you were talking 'bout me..." She said.
I grinned." Of course." I turned back to the buttons. One of the blue stabilisers had a few toast crumbs on it. I flicked them off, though there wasn't much point. The blue stabilisers were just blue boringers. I had a strange sense of deja vu as I thought this.
Rose looked at me as I grabbed the hammer from under the console and whacked a few buttons.
"We should do something," she said, leaning towards me and spiking up my hair.
I smiled. "I was waiting for you to say that."
She frowned, "How come?"
I turned around." Patience, grasshopper. Go get dressed. Meet back here in ten."
Rose shot me a dark look that had enough venom in it to kill small animals, then stomped up the stairs towards her room. I smiled behind her back. She wasn't going to be grumpy when I told her my plans for the day.
While I waited for her, I unsuccessfully tried to repair the Chameleon Circuit. It hadn't worked since 1963, when it got stuck as a police telephone box. I eventually gave up. I didn't lose her nearly as often anymore, anyway.
Rose appeared ten minutes later wearing her union jack shirt. Her hair was out and showed not sign of the birds nest that had been there not long ago.
"Better?" she asked.
"Loads," I say.
She walked around the console pressing a few buttons as she went. "So," she started.
"So..."
"So what are we doing today?"
"Well," I said. "Easier to show you."
[Sorry it's a bit short, the next chapter will be longer. Please vote, comment, share, all that. Thanks, you guys are amazing!]
