TF2 x child! Reader - Mercenary Malfunction

Executing Plan A

     You packed up your things quickly and ran after the blue people and red people. You have seen a few strange things in your time but this is insane! In no time you catch up to them. Instead of the fight being narrow on one street, they have now taken more space and spread out. You climb up a tall building still standing and look out above the land. One fight was happening to your far left, two red versus two blue. To your center, one red and one blue. To your far right, three blue's and two reds. You suspect that some other fight were going on that you couldn't see from here. But what ever is happening you can't just brush it off. This is your land now and these people are destroying a lot of it! Obviously the red team was down, majority was injured as far as you could tell and blue team had the upper hand. But man, do some of the red and blue team members look exactly the same! It's creepy! Either way, time to get down to business. You take a bandana and fold it in half triangularly. You put it over your nose to cover the bottom half of your face. You take out your aviators, because you are cool like that and flip on your hoodie. All of this was to make sure you hide your identity.
Now you were left with the option to either help the red team or blue. Or neither! Wouldn't that be smart....... Sadly, you're not that smart. You swoop in to the 1v1 battle in the center. It was the two younger men of the strange teams. It looked like a pride battle, like they were trying to see who was better. Despite the red guy being injured he put up a pretty damn good fight, but time for an intervention. You sneak behind building debris and slide in a smoke bomb. Nothing toxic, it was just for cover. You kept an eye on one of the men and slide in once the smoke set in and no one could see a foot in front of them. You snuck up behind the blue guy first. Guess you'll take out the blue team. That and the red team needed help anyways, so why not.
As you snuck behind the blue you take out your knife and jump up. With the new height, you hit the back of his head with the handle of the knife just right to the point where you didn't have to use a lot of force to knock him out. As his body fell to the floor unconsciously, you made your quick escape. As the smoke cleared, the red man was left standing in the smoke looking down at the blue.
"What the hell?" He stammered, you watched as he poked the body around a bit. Swiftly you made your way to the left battle of 2v2. A Red man dressed in a fire suit with a gas mask was facing off a blue man with bombs, a red construction guy was facing off with a blue guy-soldier thing with a rocket launcher. Red is down bad this time. You throw in two smoke bombs and got up to some place high so you can take the recent tranquillisers you scavenged and shoot the blues. In and out quick, making this job easy. It was a bit harder hitting them as to how they were in fog and moving but the job was done before the smoke cleared easily. Next was the battle to the far right. As you passed the center area you saw that the other two men met up in the middle with the young guy. All of them had some piece of red clothe on and you had them pretty confused as to how all the blue clothe wearing people just up and passed out. As you made your way to the right all Hell was breaking loose. There was two tall doctors (I think), one blue and one red, behind two huge ass red and blue men with machine guns firing at each other! There sitting not too far from them was another gas mask man but the blue guy this time, setting a gas station on fire, holy hell! There was no time for smoke bombs because shit was going down fast! You take out the rest of your tranquillisers and sadly use the rest of them to take out the three blues from a perch on a tall building, giving you lots of distance. There was no smoke to cover you this time so with out a doubt the red team members would have seen the darts coming and hitting the blues, letting them know that there was an outside force at work.
         As far as you could tell, you took care of the only battles you could see. Leaving six blues unconscious and five red members consciously looking for the rest of their team. You remember there was also a well dressed man and a guy with sun glasses. You saw the five reds group up together in the center and chat before a huge explosion was heard from a building a few yards away. The whole red team went sprinting in that direction. You stayed up where you were on the building top so you could see everything and not intervene this time. After an hour of loud explosions and cursing the area went silent and seven reds came out dragging three blue men. They regrouped in the center and retrieved the other blues from the left battle ground and right battle ground. A total of nine blues laid in the center in a pile. After about five minutes of the seven reds yelling at each other they all backed away from the blue group a couple of ways and hide behind large stone slabs of fallen building pieces. You look on confusingly as to what they were doing until a loud boom came from the left and what looked like a rocket flew right to the blues and blew them all up. Out of fear you duck behind a wall piece fallen from the building. 'Holy shit! They just blew up those men! Oh my- ahh! What the hell?!' You keep your thoughts to yourself and peek over your stone slab to see the seven red men gathered again and were cheering. It took you a moment but you realised that the well dressed man with the mask and guy with sunglasses was missing. 'Wait, were they even there in the first place?' Before you could finish your thought, you heard small stones shift behind like someone was walking just two feet behind you. You spin around sharply and look up at the well dressed man holding a knife up ready to strike you. As his arms slash down with the knife, you slip between his legs and make a run for it. You were almost out of the building before you heard a gun shot and felt a hot surge of pain shoot up your leg. After that, it was only darkness.
