For the next three months, you stayed in Sniper's camper. Medic would visit some and so would other team members but you got to see Sniper a lot. You learned he is actually not Australian but a New Zealander. He was secretly a pretty damn good cook. He took very good care of you. Sadly you had to admit, you owe Sniper a lot for letting you stay in his bed and his camper. Some nights he would come and sleep with you. You liked those nights the most feeling safe in his arms. Sure, being alone sometimes during the day is nice but you knew immediately that having company felt a lot better than being alone. Sniper kept you updated on situation with the blues and reds. Blue team works for Mr.Grey now and was ordered to eliminate the Reds at all cost. Blue has been planing something but red doesn't have a clue yet. As far as Red team can tell, Blue does not know they are back at base. They still think you and the others are camped out in Kansas but that cover wouldn't last long. There was a extra Red Base in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado that they planned to go to only if there was supplies still there. Soldier and Demo were sent a week ago to check on the base. On top of that, Mrs.Pauling and the Administrator have gone completely MIA ever sense that battle between Blues and Reds where Blue had gone completely out of protocol.
Right now you were walking around the camper, a daily practice you do to get your leg use to walking normally again. You walk fine now but you remembered the first time Medic told you that you had to start practice walking and not limping. You fell a lot in pain and discontentment. So Medic decided to penguin walk you for the first week. Letting you stand on his feet as he waddled little by little. He held your hands of course but majority of your weight was left for you to carry. It hurt like hell still and you wouldn't bend your knee no matter how many times Medic told you to. So in turn, whilst one day Medic was walking you, he 'accidentally' bent his knees into the back of yours, making you bend your knees when walking. After that, you no longer let him help you or even get close to you when you practiced walking. But the more you bent your knee walking, you learned it helped with the healing and recuperating. You go back into the camper after a good hour of just walking. Sniper was taking a nap on the long booth seat farthest against the wall. You smile and grab a blanket which you laid over him to make sure he kept warm. After that you went to the bed and sat down to take a nap yourself if not for Scout's headphones starting to talk. You grab them and put them on. You press the button.
"Sco?" You called him Sco because you still had a hard time saying his name. Same with Medic, Sniper, and especially Soldier.
"Hey Toots! Is Snipes there with ya? Demo and Soldier are on their way back. It's gonna be a few hours but I wanna let him know." Scout sounded a little worried when saying this.
"He nap now. I tell him when he wake up." With that you took off the headphones and hung them up. Scout on the other end gave a thanks and didn't talk anymore that day. Softly you slept for a few hours until you heard the door to the camper open. You lift your head up from the bed and look over to see Medic.
"Uh oh. Did I interrupt nap time?" Medic smiled and walked over to you, seeing Sniper passed out. "Hah... Oh! Did jou hear about Demo and Solider? Zhey are on zheir vay back." You nodded your head sleepily and sat up yawning and stretching. Medic came over and sat on the bed next to you, which you smiled and hugged him immediately. "It's been a veek hasn't it, mädchen? Sorry i've been avay so long. I had a lot of vork to do." Medic held onto you gently and rubbed your back. "How ist jour leg?" You gave him a thumbs up. "Have jou been valking?" You nod your head and slide into his lap. Medic's smile grew but softened down worriedly. It weighed down on Medic and the others that after this whole dilemma with the blues and Mr.Grey, you would leave them to be on your own. Ever sense the first day, Medic had immediately gotten attached to you. Slowly after, all the other men did as well. Some wouldn't show it or even go as far as to deny it; Spy, Soldier, Sniper, and Demo. But it was obvious deep down they all had loved having you around. You were very mellow, understanding, and extremely smart for your age. Engie calls you an "Ol' soul" meaning you were a lot more mentally older than you physical looked.
It was extemly rare to find you inside the base though. Every night at midnight, you snuck into the base to take a shower but that was just about it. You had a set few clothes from your bag you packed all those months ago that you change out from all the time. Sniper taught you how to hand wash all your clothes.
Sniper started to wake from his nap, which made both you and Medic look up over to him.
"The beast awakens!" You and Medic laugh at your own sarcastic remark. Sniper groans and sits up as he rubs his eyes.
"Bloody 'ell. Not noice (y/n)." Sniper get's up and starts to make coffee. "Wha' time is it?"
"Eh... zhree Zhirty-five, afternoon of course." Medic looked at his wrist watch. Sniper groans more and drinks his coffee straight once made. "Oh. Und Demo and Soldier are on zheir vay back from zhe base. It vill take a few hours." You smiled up at Medic then to Sniper only to see that both the men had worried looks instead of happy ones to their colleagues return. This concerned you a lot.
"Why worried?" Medic looked down at you and Sniper turned away.
"Vell...... I'll explain later mädchen." With that, the whole subject was dropped. For the few hours until dusk, Medic, Sniper, and you talked about some stuff and played card games. All was well until Scout came running in screaming that Demo and Soldier are back. Only, Scout was injured badly. And all that was heard after Scout running is was gunshots.
