You woke the next day in Medic's arms on a..... bed? Soon you realised you were in a car of sorts. This car was more like a very small house. But it was moving either way. Medic was passed out holding you to his chest. By the dark circles under his eyes you could tell he didn't sleep much before this. Softly you brushed his side hair back behind his ear. His sleep wasn't the most peaceful but it was sleep none the less. You sat up only to lay over his torso. The bed was at the far back of the truck(?) and the rest was a small kitchen, a door to what looked like a bathroom and two table booths on each side. Then at the front there were two seats, the driver and passenger.
"Lettile gurl is up." You rub your eyes and look to your right at Heavy, who was sitting at the table facing you. Engie, Demo, Solider, Pyro and Scout all turned and looked at you.
"Mornin' Lassie." Demo gave you a warm smile. You groaned and looked out a window to see that the sun was barley rising over the horizon. You lay your head back down and groan again. Scout and Soldier laughed softly at you.
"Guess toots isn't a morning person." Scout smiled like a goof as always. "She's got a lot in common with the Doc." Heavy agreed with Scout as much as the others. You guessed Spy and Sniper were up front sense they are not at any of the tables. You slide to lay back down on your back beside Medic. "And she's back out!" Scout got a laugh out of everyone.
Medic laid on his side with his back to the others. You took coverage and hid from the others by burring yourself into Medic's chest. Medic was half-asleep you guessed because his arms instinctively wrapped around you and held you close into place. He curls himself up around you and rests his chin on the top of your head like you are teddy bear. You have never been held like this. The closest you have been held any what close to this is when your parents were still alive. Vivid memories started coming back and tears rolled down your cheek. You clung tighter onto Medic and let the tears roll, knowing you were safely hidden behind him. Crying about your parents was different than normal crying. Last night when you cried, you felt pure sadness well up in you and you wanted to scream your lungs out. But when you cry about your parents you don't feel anything in you. Your nose doesn't clog up or anything. Tears just start up in your eyes and fall out with no emotion. That hurt you the most. You can remember your parents but not the feeling of comfort or love. Just their faces, smiles, and shared laughter about something funny you can't remember. Medic stirred slightly and rubbed your back. Softly he plants kisses on your head. You lift your head up to see Medic's tired eyes slightly open. He smiles softly, a sympathetic smile, and kisses your forehead.
"Vhat's vrong mädchen?" Medic kept his voice down and whispered to you. His hand was still rubbing your back softly. You burry your face back into his chest.
"Thinking of parents....." You had lifted your mouth way from his chest to whisper back. Medic nodded his head in understanding.  Not another word was said for a few hours. The sun was now up in the sky a bit. You guessed it was about now eight in the morning. Your stomach growled at you loudly all of a sudden and even Medic heard it. He laughed softly and sat up stretching.
"Hungry mädchen?" He stood up and turned to look back at you. You nodded your head a bit and sat up. You haven't changed your clothes in days and you are really hating it. Medic walks to a cabinet and starts rummaging around. He pulls out a box of fruit gummies. He holds it up. "Vill zhis vork mädchen?" Your mouth was watering at the thought of fruit snacks. You nod your head super fast and hold out your arms for them. Some of the men and Medic had laughed at you. This made you a little irritated, you don't mean to be funny. You are just really hungry. Medic opened the box and took a handful of the tiny bags out. He gives you the handful and you eagerly tear one open and eat the tiny gummies. You dramatically flopped back down on the bed and sighed out a smile of happiness. Medic walked to the front and talked with Spy and Sniper as you ate. You ate five bags of gummies and put the trash into the box. You slipped out of the bed, making sure to not land on your bad leg. You take the box with you and looked up at the cabinet Medic got the fruit snacks from. It sucks being this short. You were about to jump for the cabinet of not for someone grabbing the box and putting it away for you. You look up and see Engie smile down at you and pat your head. You bow your head a little as a thank you and you limped over to Medic. You slip between his legs, props to being short. All three men stopped talking once they saw you enter. You look up over the dash to see the road ahead of you. It was all just wide open plains of nothingness. So you were still in Kansas for sure.
"Where we going?" You looked to Sniper, who was the driver. Sniper, being very socially awkward, looked away and tipped his hat down. You furrowed your eye brows and then looked to Spy. Spy snapped his gaze to the window and looked just as awkward as well. Now you were less confused and more pissed. "Say. It." You voice became way less soft and shy. Now you were stern and angry. Your whole demeanour changed from being a sleepy tired seven year old to a demon in a split second. Even Medic backed up and Sniper and Spy looked at you with wide eyes.
"Uhh..... t-to our base sheila...." Sniper stammered out. You sigh and nod your head.
"Wait. Your base? Why bring me? I need to rebuild home!" You snapped at Sniper and he backed up more, trying hard to keep an eye on the road. The guys from the back were looking up and at you in front of Medic.
"Mädchen, jour home is completely....... destroyed... Zhere is nozhing jou could salvage from zhat." You glare at Medic and ball your hands up into fists. You don't give up on your home. Not that easy. They would have had to blow all of your small town in Kansas into space if they wanted you to give up your land!
"Stop the car. I get out now." Sniper looked to Spy who shook his head. You looked to Sniper to stop the car which never happened.
" 'ou can't. We need 'ou." You snap your gaze to Spy.
"Why? Why me?" Anger is over powering you, clouding your judgement.
"Somezhing ist vrong vith zhe blue team. During our recent battle, time had ended in a draw. By zhen, both teams vould retreat to zheir respective base. But zhe blue team kept fighting. Chased us all zhe vay off zhe battle grid to jour town. Zhere jou helped us defeat zhe blues. Blue and red team members can respawn vonce killed. But our respawn ist no longer vorking. I had to bring Sniper back to life after being zhot. Twice now but zhe first time doesn't count in zhis situation. But zhe blue team knew vhere jour base was und everyzhing. Jou are now just as in danger as wie are for reasons wie don't know but zhe blue team had to blow jour home up for some reason. Jou can also fight really vell so vith a lot of arguing and discussing, wie decided to add jou to zhe team for now. Vonce zhis problem ist solved zhen jou can go back to zhat desolate town of jours and start over. Sound like a deal?" You let go of all your anger and instead that empty void is filled with fear, sadness, and confusion. You pinch the bridge of your nose and lean against the dash. Your brain was trying to connect everything with the facts and theories and unknowns but nothing would work. You sigh and slump down a bit.
"Fine....... fine." You stood up and pushed Medic aside as you walked down, not limp, walk down the isle to the bed. You climb onto the bed and wrapped yourself in blankets. Everyone got the hint that you wanted to be left alone. What were you getting yourself into?
