"Vell I hope zhe vounds jou have are from zhe veopons zhey brought back!" Medic was trying his best, let's say that.
"Oh I wish that were the case Doc. We need you and Sniper, NOW!" Scout runs back out and sprints to the north wing of the base. Just so you know, the garage is in the south wing with the camper parked just outside. Medic get's up immediately and runs to his lab. Sniper on the other hand sighed and took a minute or two to get up and grab his rifle. He had a lot less urgency as Medic. You, on the other hand, had jumped up from the booth and grabbed Sniper's Kukri. By the time you we ready to go, Sniper was as well and grabbed you before you could run out there.
"Woah, Shiela! No way are you goin' out there. This is a mercenary's job. Stay 'ere." With that, Sniper ran out and left you alone in the camper all decked out and ready for war. You growl as he left and tried hard to keep your temper down, in turn that only made your face red. It took you a few minutes but you cleared your head and thought of possible ways to still help in battle. Then it hit you, ever night when you enter the base to take a shower you pass by the security room. You could at least watch to make sure nothing too bad happened that you could swoop in and change the winning tide to. So with that in mind, you set out to the room. It took a few minutes with extreme care to sneak there, making sure the battle wasn't close to the room. Thank Scout's lucky bats that the room was clear and no battle was around it. You snuck in and sat in the chair in front of the large control panel. Well, you didn't sit, you had to stand to reach all the buttons. The huge wall was covered in tv screens, majority of them having battles displayed, a few were black screens. You look down at your control pad and a shiver goes down your spine. There are a LOT of buttons, none of them labelled, all the same colour, all about the same size and shape. In panic, you look up at the screens and see that majority of the team was fighting in one big space. Red team was down again due to the lack of weaponry. The spies, snipers, and engineers are missing from sight but some gun shots are coming from out of screen. You look down to the pad again, and press a random button. Nothing happened. You pressed another: nothing. You pressed many until you heard a loud click through the cameras. You look up to see nothing has changed. You investigated more and realized in the right bottom corner of the screen, a gun (sentry) was fulled loaded and ready to go. Problem: you had no idea which button you pressed. You took a guess at where the area was and you started pressing the buttons again, this time in an order. You hit a button a minute later that deactivated the gun. You press the button again and it turns back on. You press a button to the right of it, it moves the gun one unit to the right. Press the left button, and it moved one unit to the left back to it's original point. You press the button below it and it clicks. It didn't deactivate but something happened. You click the button above and it shot out a single rocket into a group of blues. It sent them flying but no one got killed.
You got an awful beautiful idea~ you angle the gun at the blue Demoman and fire. BULLS EYE! Demoman is now fractions of a man. Red team and blue team have now caught on to the sentry working. Engie and Pyro protected the gun from the blues trying to disable it, while the rest fought off the others to not let them even close to Engie and Pyro. You aimed the gun again at the blue Heavy. But if you let off a bomb, it would kill your Heavy. You click that bottom button again and the sentry clicks. You aim the sentry elsewhere and fire. Instead if rockets, out came a rapid fire of bullets. 'Now we are talking!' You thought as you smirked. You aimed the sentry quickly to Blue Heavy and fired. HEAD SHOT! You are rather good at this. You take out blue Pyro, Sniper, and Engie. You aimed for the Blue Scout until you heard foot steps running to your door. You turn the chair to see the door slam open and Red Scout was there panting.
"H-Hey Toots!" You froze for a second and looked back at the screen. Red Scout was on the battlefield fighting Blue Scout. You looked back at this 'Red' Scout at the door. "You see the other Scout on the screen? In red, that's blue spy! Aim the gun to kill him, he can easily slip past our defenses and zap your sentry!" Scout walked over and put his hands on the edge of the pad. He was intently looking at the screen for a few seconds then looked to you. "What are ya waitin' for? We are still getting injured out there! Fire the gun!" You knew then and there at that moment, this was not your Scout. Scout DOES NOT order you around. He learned a hard lesson that day a month ago. You had to play along with this game though, or you will be killed. You don't have a weapon, So you made a plan. You reached for a button, not anywhere close to the actual firing button. You acted like you would press it until, woops! You slipped out of the chair. You hit the floor hard and groan. You definitely broke a rib. As you lift yourself up, you are glad to see your suspicion was right. Attached to bottom of the panel was a large hunters knife. Scout looked down at you fall and didn't help. He just watched you groan and sit up. Another sign that this is not your Scout. You grab the panel side with one hand and lifted yourself up. Your other hand had grabbed the knife out of it's pocket attached to the panel. With a swift swipe, you slashed 'Scouts' arm and he hissed and backed up a few steps holding his bleeding arm. In that moment a giant puff of smoke covered Scout and as the smoke cleared, out came the blue Spy. Now your fear kicked in hard. You are alone, in the open, against a blue spy!
"Damn, 'ow did you know, little brat?" You glare at him and growl. Fear was replaced with anger. You charged him with the knife, only to be kicked to the side and knocked at the way to the wall. Your knife, flung from the kick, all the way across the wall. You pick yourself up from off the floor only to see Spy above you with his butterfly knife. He puffed out a cloud of smoke from his cigarette. "I don't usually kill kids but you did cut my suit. That, and you are quite a threat, (y/n)." How did he know your name? You look up at him. Fear fully took over this time. He didn't make a move at first to attack you. So in that moment, you tried to run. Spy stuck his leg out with ease and pushed you back into the wall. He raised his knife, ready to strike. It was almost as if time slowed down. You were gonna die. Right there against the wall. Without a fight. Without a chance. A way you never wished to die. It was not going to end like this. Not today. Not now. Not ever.
With that in mind, you instinctively used the wall to kick off and tackle the Spy head first into his gut. With the power and force of the kick off, you and Spy both fell backwards. Spy, dropping his knife. You grabbed it mid air and pined him down on the floor with the blade to his neck. Spy was going to speak but stopped. The look in your eyes, was terrifying. Fear, anger, blood lust, all mixing at once. You pull the knife up and for a split second, Spy thought you gave mercy on him. That is until your slammed the blade straight through his left eye socket. His blood splattered everywhere, all over you. Marking your face and clothes with his blood. In his last moments, he gripped onto your sides. Only for a few seconds that is, as his hands dropped from your side. He made a few gurgling noises, then silence. It took a minute but the feeling of anger and power subsided. You got up and backed up from the body.
Oh god. The body. The blood. The knife. His face. The fear in his one eye. His hands lain beside him. Oh god. You killed a human being. What have you done? Why did you do that? Your vision blurred into red. So, so much blood. There was blood everywhere. There was also foot steps outside the door. Many people flooded into the room, only to gasp. There you stood, in the middle of the room. Standing over a bloody blue dead Spy with a knife sticking out his eyes. Your eyes wide, realizing what you have done. Someone came close to you, they were talking. You couldn't hear anything. Your heart beat was fast and hard. So loud. You felt a hand gently touch your right arm. Your vision was too blurry. You panicked and punched the arm away and got ready to fight. Slowly though you heard a soft voice rise and become clear.
"(Y/n)? (Y/n)?.... Ist ok. Ist just me, Medic. Ist going to be ok mädchen. No vone ist going to hurt jou. Jou are safe now." You vision slowly focused and you could clearly see red Medic crouched a few feet in front of you. He was worried and hurt. His arms were slightly opened out to you.
"M-m.... e....d.....ic...." You eyes filled with tears. You reached out for him and he smiled softly. Gently, he reached out and pulled you closer to him. Immediately you run into his arms and bury your face into his chest. Your hands grip onto his coat. Softly you cry out useless words muffled by his coat. Medic held you closer and rubbed your back, knowing how traumatized you are right now.
"Shhh mädchen. Shhhhhhh. Just let it out for right now." For a good few minutes you cried in his arms. You calmed down and pulled your face from his chest. Spy's blood now on his coat due to your face being pressed into it. Softly you sniffled a few times and rubbed your eyes. Medic simply rubbed the side of your arms. The few minutes you spent crying, Heavy and Scout took the blue spies body out of the room. Now the whole Red team was on the other side of the room near the door. All of them watching you and Medic. They were all worried for you, this is something a kid your age shouldn't see or even do. As your breathing returned to normal and you were fine, Medic spoke. "Jou ok now Frau?" You speak loud enough for the whole team to hear.
"Why do I save you guys' asses all the time?!" The whole atmosphere changed and the team had to hold back a small laugh. Medic smiled and patted your head.
"Ja. Jou are fine. Hehe."
