THE SUNDAY MORNING LIGHT FILTERED THROUGH THE WHITE GOSSAMER CURTAINS OF DELILAH'S bedroom bathing the room in bright golden hues. She lay on her back staring at the cracks in the ceiling unseeing, a wistful smile on her lips as she relived the moment she had shared the previous evening with the enchanting Tommy Shelby. The look in his blazing blue eyes as he had leaned into her causing shivers even now to dance across her skin. His touch had been so gentle, like a feather dancing across her as he'd trailed his calloused finger tips over her tender skin on their path to her neck. The man had smelled of mint and cigarettes and something earthy she was sure came from them standing in the middle of Charlie Strong's stables. It was an intoxicating mixture. He was intoxicating.

Delilah had never been kissed before but she didn't doubt for a second that a kiss from Tommy Shelby would not leave her wanting for anything.

If only they hadn't been interrupted.

With a heavy sigh the girl pushed herself up and out of the bed, the cool floorboards not yet warmed from the sun's light had her rushing to the small bureau adjacent to her bed so she could ready herself for the day. It was Sunday and Mary had told her to be up and ready so they could head out early for the church.

The old woman had given her a look filled with suspicion when she had stormed into the house with Liam in tow, noting the irritation on the redheads face and the grim accusations bubbling in her grandsons eyes. Delilah had sulked off to her room without dinner in order to avoid lying to her grandmother about her whereabouts that day. She could only pray Liam hadn't uttered a word of just where he had found her and who with.

While the girl didn't regret her time spent in Tommy's company, she couldn't help but feel a niggling of guilt beginning to brew in her stomach at having lied to the woman about staying away from the Shelby boys, one in particular. She had never had reason to lie to her parents, or anyone really; she prided herself on being a very honest person. But this attraction she was feeling toward Thomas was completely out of her hands. She didn't think she could stay away even if she wanted to. Perhaps she would visit confession today for her grievance.
