Kei sat on a couch waiting for club activities to start. There were no afternoon classes that day due to Ouran Academy hosting cultural clubs from different schools for the next two days. Kei was dressed as a knight, as was his fiancé, Hani, Kyoya and Tamaki. The twins were dressed as jesters.
Kei looked around, noticing a certain commoner was absent. "Where is Haruhi at?"
"Oh, we sent her to the store to get some more instant coffee." The twins said.
The door opened, and the host resumed their characters. "Welcome, ladies~"
Standing at the door were two unfamiliar girls wearing different school uniforms. They were obviously not from Ouran. Kei recognized them as Lobelia girls. He stared at them curiously as they looked around, seemingly unimpressed by what they saw.
Tamaki took the sword he held, incorrectly, and flashed it towards the girls, "Well, well, well. I see you ladies are from another school. I certainly hope we haven't startled you. We love first-time guests." He said dashingly, using his charm to its fullest capacity. He walked towards them, offering a hand and kneeling to the floor. "I'm glad you've come, princesses. My darlings, even if the world were to be destroyed, I'd put my life on the line as your faithful knight and servant. I will protect you."
"Oh my, do you really think you'll be able to protect us?" the taller girl smirked. "That's awfully arrogant of you, wouldn't you agree? You think that's what a woman wants to hear? Well you're wrong."
Kei's eyebrow rose at the girl's harsh words. Certainly, from Lobelia, he thinks.
Tamaki looks up at them in confusion as the shorter girl chimes in, "Come on. Give him a break, sister Suzuran. Men are just lowly life forms who don't care about anything other than perpetuating their testosterone latent image. By protecting us he's actually attempting to disguise the fact that he is weak and unable of even protecting himself." She finishes as both the girls stare at the host king with calculating eyes.
"You're such a clever girl, Hinagiku."
Tamaki stood up from his kneeling position, the words seemingly to roll off him. "Don't you think that's a little harsh? Fine then. What do women like you want to hear?"
"Maybe something like.... I'd never leave my lover alone."
The host all stare as harps play and the door opens to show a tall girl in an Lobelia uniform holding onto Haruhi. Tamaki and the rest of the club stare at them with wide, confused stares. The woman has her hand up dramatically as she twirls Haruhi around. The poor girl can only endure it. "If we fight, it'll be together. If we fail, we fail together. Even if I were to die, I promise you that I will never leave your side, my love." The girl kneels before Haruhi, kissing her hand in a gentle gesture. The host club all gasp at the display of feminine affection. All but Kei as he stares at them with plain confusion, what is Benibara doing here? Tamaki is left speechless, pointing at the girl who had just kissed his "little girl."
"Benibara, we thought you'd never show." Hinagiku smiles at the her.
"What are we going to do with you? So, tell us where you found this lovely young lady." Suzuran playfully scolds her and admires Haruhi.
"I just met her outside of the school. She may be dressed as a boy, but I knew the truth." Benibara proclaims, sweeping the poor girl off her feet and pulling Haruhi's face just centimeters from her own. Haruhi stared back at the girl, utterly bewildered at how the situation had escalated into what it had.
