"Haru-hi-chan, please come out and play!" The hosts Tamaki, Hani and the twins shouted excitedly.

Kei sighed tiredly, leaning into Mori's side for support.  it was incredibly too early, but Tamaki had decided to round everyone up for a trip to Haruhi's house.  He had somehow even managed to wake up Kyoya.

"This is a bad idea, Tama-kun.  We should have called first." Kei muttered tiredly.

"That's why we brought this cake, Kei-sempai."

They had brought a cake to act as a "peace-offering" for dropping by so early, and uninvited, but Kei doubted that would sway her.  He also theorized that it was actually Tamaki's tactic to win over Ranka.  Kei doubted that would work either.

The door creaked up open to reveal a tired looking person.  They glared at the group, their hair disheveled and everywhere with a little stumble on their chin.

The group gaped, quickly turning around.

"Sorry, wrong apartment..."

The person called out to them. "Hey, hey, wait a second!"

The person ran after them, pulling Tamaki back by the shirt.  The rest of the group followed as Tamaki was dragged back into the apartment.  They sat in the living area on the floor across from the red headed individual.

"Don't act so traumatized cause you've seen me without my make up on.  Even I get stubble first thing in the morning, which is more than I can say for any of you." Ranka said, flipping her hair dramatically.

"Oh, it's you Ranka." Kei smiled.  Thank god.

"You're so funny!  Ha! ha! ha!" Tamaki laughed awkwardly.  "My dear Ranka, I hope this day finds you in excellent health." He said smoothly, offering the box of cake to her.

As usual, Ranka was not swayed by Tamaki's attempt at flattery and struck out, clipping his chin and throwing the poor fool back into the air.  Kei's eyes widened.

"Such strength...."

Ranka caught the box elegantly, and as Tamaki landed face first on the floor, used her foot on his cranium as step stool, squishing his head into the wood beneath them.

"Ranka, please...That's my head..." The boy gasped out pathetically, but red head refused to relent her attack.

Just as Kei had thought, it was not enough of a piece offering.

"Oh, silly me!  I forgot my manners.  Please forgive my appearance.  It's so wonderful to see all of you." She smiled at the rest of the group.

Kei returned her smile. "The same to you, Ranka, ma'am.  You look lovely this sunny morning."

"Is Haru-chan here?" Hani asked hopefully.

Ranka shook her head. "I'm afraid not.  She's out with the girls today.  They picked her up this morning and you know women, heaven only knows when they'll be back."

"So, she's not home??" Hani said sadly, deflating as their plans to spend the day with Haruhi flew out the window.

Tamaki finally stood from the floor, he too disappointed by the news. "Well, I guess Haruhi is entitled to spend time with her old friends from middle school once in a while."
