Hi everyone!  Oh how I have missed all of you.  I'm terribly sorry for all the delays as I know they are frustrating.  Trust me, they are just as hard on me as to you guys, and I feel your pains.  What I thought was just a nasty virus that would be gone in 3 days, actually turned out to be a mild to severe case of the flu that left me bed ridden for 7 days.  I could barely sit up, and every time I tried to start to write my head would start pounding like someone was drilling a screw into my head.  It was awful, but I'm back now and well again!  I love you all.  Please leave lots of comments and let me know what you thought!

PS: Can you guys even believe we are at episode 21?! A special shout out to the readers who have been with me since the early chapters and when my book barely had 15 votes and 100 reads. You guys are amazing! And a special thank you to ALL my readers, especially the ones who leave me such nice comments every week. I read and treasure all of them, and you guys are always on my mind ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Kei sighed, sitting across from his father in their expansive dining area.  Shinobu stared at his son, eye hardened and serious.  The tension was thick.  Kei felt on edge.

"Father......"

"I'm concerned for your safety, Kei." Shinobu said, frown marring his otherwise perfect features.

"I am fine.  Nothing happened, Father." Kei insisted, maintaining a steady voice.

"Where were Takashi and Mitsukuni when all of this was happening?"

"I had gone off on my own." Kei explained, nonchalantly shrugging.

"Why on earth would you do something so reckless?  Takashi and Mitsukuni are there for your protection." Shinobu scolded him.

"I was trying to alleviate the situation myself.  I thought I could talk to Beni."

Shinobu scoffed. "As you can see, that went well."

"Beni has always been high-strung and acts on impulse." Kei said. "In the end, it was all harmless."

"You were kidnapped!"

"Restrained.  They had every intention of allowing me to leave after the show had ended."  Kei brought his tea cup up to his lips.  Their long chatter was causing the liquid to lose heat and go cold.

"You're missing the point here, Kei." Shinobu sat up as straight as possible, demanding all respect as the tallest in the room. "That girl should face the consequences of her actions."

"I think the utter humiliation of her having her plans foiled by a boy in a dress serves as enough consequence." Kei chuckled lightly.

"This isn't a laughing matter, Kei."
