I got two texts from Monty the following morning, leaving me feeling smug at guilty at the same time.

Montague🙊🙈🙉 - shit I've just remembered Elisia made me eat that cake. Don't even wanna know what I'll feel like tomorrow (read 0:27)

And then

Montague🙉🙈🙊 - yeah well I'm not coming to school today. Projectile vomitting (read 9:17)

I giggled to myself, but scratched the back of my neck. It was going to be another day I faced school without Monty; another day of taunting from Bryce. Not my idea of fun.

Capulet👑🌸💖 - I told you not to eat that cake you asshat

Montague🙉🙈🙊 - what kind of an insult is asshat??

Capulet👑💖🌸 - A tired Monday morning insult who's heading to English without you

Montague🙉🙈🙊 - Whoever will fill my place dearest Juliet?

Capulet👑💖🌸 - If I'm lucky the person I'm going to have to sit next to now won't smell of sweaty pepperoni again

Montague🙉🙈🙊- wow aren't your standards set high? Didn't know I was so replaceable.

Capulet👑💖🌸 - dude. I'm dating you remember. we established my standards were warped long ago

Montague🙉🙈🙊-  😡😡😡😡

Capulet👑💖🌸 - jk I love you really. No excuse me why I go suffer through Literature all on my lonesome

Montague🙊🙉🙈 - have I brilliant day. I'm going to go throw up now.

I actually arrived pretty early to English, already sat in my seat before the rest of the class came filing through. Bored, I stared out of the window until everybody had taken their seats, focusing on a small group of robins fluttering around a tree in the school yard. The smallest of the flock was sat on a small branch all by itself, happily chirping melodies to itself even if it seemed to missing a partner. Well that was until a giant boisterous black crow all but knocked the poor thing off the branch, practically landing on top of it.
