'Starbucks kisses'

I approached Starbucks, it was decorated with fairy lights as the wintery nights started to set in.

I sat in a booth in a window looking out into the dark parking lot.

A boy with dirty blonde hair perched himself next to me, two large coffees in his hands he placed one in front of me.

"Thanks connor" I smiled.

"No problemo" he stated, he returned the smile.

"I love winter, don't you?" I ask,

"if winter means, dressing up in warm clothes, drinking hot cocoa and snuggling by the fire with you then yeh, I love winter" he chuckled.

"Smooth, very smooth" I giggled.

I lay back against Connors shoulder, as he draped his arm around me.

I thought of this year, Mackenzie, Johnny, Jojo, Carson, Annie and Hayden, I thought about the next few months to come, I thought about graduation, yet I couldn't see past, I couldn't see the 'cool kids' after they left cherry lake, it haunted me the fact of loosing them, they knew me to well, my secrets and lies, my ups and downs, my everything I guess.

I turned to connor.

"I know this is definitely the weirdest thing you've heard all day" i stopped and thought.
"But I think I love you" I stated.

Connor kind of looked shocked.

"Don't take it to heart I only said think" I defended my self whilst letting out a nervous laugh, as embarrassment heated my cheeks.

"Don't be embarrassed" he said.
"If it makes you feel better, I think I love you too" he replied.

I beamed.

"Really?!" I said in excitement.

"But don't take it to heart, I only said I think" he mimicked me.

I laughed hugging onto him.
