Hayden had text me to meet him outside of a pizza restaurant, saying it was urgent, to start with I thought he was just messing around.
He finally appeared at the end of the street, he ran towards me, his brown curly hair flopping in the wind.
"Hayden you okay?" I asked worried.
"Yeh, Carson stole my pizza, wondered if you wanted to get one with me, I knew you wouldn't come if I told you that" he stated.
A goofy grin painted on his face.
I elbowed him, slightly flattered at the gesture.
"How did you know I wouldn't come?" I asked
"The last time I kissed you, you slapped me, if I'd asked you out in a date you would have murdered me" he explained.
"You really thought this through, how sweet" I gushed.
I trailed behind him as he ordered pizza. Once it was ready we bagged it up. Payed and left.
Towards the park.
We were wrapped up in our hats gloves and scarves and sat out on the park benches with our warm pizza and chips.
He laughed at his own jokes, being just a genuinely happy person living in the moment, something I found hard to do.
"Do you ever feel like the worlds in slow motion, like the drama's never going to end" I asked, intrigued.
"Always" he replied, smiling loudly at me.
I returned the smile.
"Glad to know I'm not the only one" i sipped some of my Coca Cola, it sent shivers down my spine it were so cold. "You know your not that bad to talk to" I added breaking out deep conversation.
"I'm glad you think so" he chuckled.
