Chapter 12

'made a mistake'

The news that Kenzie told me infuriated me, I'm only 17 I'm not ready to be a parent nor am I responsible.

And what is everyone going to think if she doesn't got to school for 9 months.

What are my parents going to think? What are hers going to think?

I wanted to go see her and apologise for ruining her life. But I can't leave her, I think I owe it to her to help after our mistake.

I wanted to vent my anger to someone, I wasn't really thinking properly and my feet lead me to my sisters room.

I wondered across the hallway from my bedroom to Lauren's, if I was going to tell anyone it would be Lauren.
I knocked on her door.

"Laur are you decent?" I asked.

"Yeah, come in" she replied.

I opened up the door and went and perched myself next to her on the bed, her sheets where satin, silk and light pink matching her very girly room, there was polaroid pictures of her and her friends strung up around the room.

"I wanted to ask you something" I stated.

"Ok..." she said.

"I made a mistake" I managed to say.

"What kind of mistake" Lauren asked innocently.

"A life changing one" I replied.

"Oh Johnny what have you done" I broke down into tears.
She hugged me lovingly.

"Mackenzie is pregnant" I said.

There was a torturing silence, I lifted my head to look at her reaction but there was no emotion on her face.

"I'm the father" I continued.
She didn't say anything she just kept me in a hug.

After a while I decided to get a shower and freshen up.
I then went over to kenzie's if anyone needed support right now it's her.

I knocked on her door.
Maddie opened it.
"Hey, Johnny, u here to see Kenz" she asked.

I just nodded and went straight upstairs to her bedroom.
There she was later on the bed, she had tear stained eyes and was pale in the face.

"I'm so sorry" I stated.

Makenzie hugged me so tight.
"I'm going to be there for you every step of the way" I said again.

I felt her body relax on me and soon she was sound asleep.
