I wake up in the morning feeling deflated which is the opposite of how you should feel after sleeping. Maybe because of Ava's actions yesterday evening or even maybe because this is the first time sleeping in the bed my mother used to whenever she used to come visit.
I force myself out of bed when I feel my phone vibrate on the bed side table.
Luca: What are you doing today? I'm surprised work gave me a Saturday off.
Me: My uncle wants me to invite Ava for dinner.
There was a few minutes between our messages. I start to doubt my self as a I think I shouldn't of told him.
Luca: Hm. If she wants to go I'll drop her off. You have to ask her tho.
Me: I'll let you know.
With this, I leave the messaging app and headed straight to call Ava from my phone list. I was about to hang up when she picked up on the last ring.
"Can I help you?" Her sweet morning voice brightening me up inside.
"Just wanted to invite you over for dinner at my uncle's. But since you're still in a bad mood for some reason forget it."
There was silence on the other end that I actually thought she hung up.
"I take it you spoke about me." I sense her amusement.
"Maybe one bad thing or two." I play along. "Well I don't know how to get there." She replies ignoring my dig.
"I spoke to Luca and he said he can drop you off here." He can stay for dinner too. I'm sure Steve wouldn't mind. Plus, I've always wanted him to meet Luca.
I just wanted to see her sooner than later and figure out why she's been acting so off with me.
"How can he if he don't have a car, stupid?" My mood has been lifted majorly when I start to feel that she's becoming her normal self with me.
"Tell him to go to my dad's and ask Sonja for the keys and he can drive here."
"Okay."
Silence once more.
"Okay." I copied.
"Oh go away Elliot." The phone line goes dead and I laugh to my self as I heard a slightly tone of laughter.
Now to get ready and see if uncle Steve is awake.

"I called Ava to come over for lunch." I say as I walk into the kitchen where I find my uncle cooking up breakfast."Oh? And what did she say?" He flings the green cloth over his shoulders.
"Yeah. Her cousin will drop her off." I do my best and not show any form excitement but that fails when Steve then continues "I bet you're happy."
I roll my eyes and I hear a chuckle leave his lips, the vibe nothing like it was last night.
Eventually, I recognise the rev of my BMW i8 outside and called out to Steve in the kitchen as I went to open the door to Ava.
I knew Luca wouldn't be able to resist taking one of my cars out for a spin and being as modest as he is, out of the whole range, he chose the least expensive.
I opened the front door and walked over to the passenger seat to open the passenger door for her.
"You look nice." And she did, she was in skinny denim jeans, with a pinkish jumper, her bobble hat resting snugly on her head.
