So, this chapter is quite the roller coaster. For half of this, I was half asleep because it was three in the morning and you'll definitely be able to tell when that time came. Anyway, this is one of the longest chapter I've had for this story, and I hope you enjoy. I feel kind of bad because it took awhile to update, but I hope the length makes up for it.

-------------------------------------------

The day had arrived where I was going back to school. I dreaded it so intensely, fearing Danny and the posses that followed him like lost puppies. It had been so long since I'd gone to real school. I wondered if anyone even noticed I had been gone.

I was wearing a sweater, as was necessary to avoid getting the crap beat out of me, because a boy whose wrists looked like road maps with stitches on them was an open target for harassment and getting the crap beat out of him.

Austin had been back, informing me that he actually made a few friends since he had been back. There was Vic and Jaime and Mike of course, but Vic and I still weren't on speaking terms which hurt me quite a lot. I wanted Vic back, but I was still mad that he attacked Kellin.

Austin and I walked through the big double doors of the school, me staying close behind him, grasping on to the fabric of his clothing. He shushed me, kissing the side of my head and telling me it was going to be fine.

I didn't think it was going to be fine, though. I didn't think people were all of a sudden going to leave me alone when I used to get beat up by a majority of these kids every day. It stirred in my stomach and twisted uncomfortably.

When people started noticing us, which didn't take very long considering Austin was 6'4", their mouths hung open and whispers started flying through the halls. I didn't really hear what most of them were saying though.

Two people, a guy and a girl, the girl pregnant, came up to us, smiling at Austin and smiling bigger when they saw me. The girl pulled me into a hug, ruffling my hair and squeezing tightly. I had to hold myself back from screaming in terror.

"Hello! I'm Jolie and this is my boyfriend Mitch! We're friends of Austin's. You are Alan, are you not? Goodness, you're even more handsome than Austin described. Aus, you are terrible at descriptions." Jolie said. Her blonde hair flew across her shoulders as she giggled and hugged me again.

"Jolie, come on, don't scare him. Hey, sorry about her, she just gets very excited when meeting new people. As she told you, I'm Mitch, Mitch Lucker. It's good to finally see you here. Austin never shuts up about you, you know." Mitch, the extremely tattooed man with the eccentric girlfriend, told me. I nodded my head, not trusting my words to come out right. I was much too anxious to speak right now.

Austin pulled me to his side, kissing the top of my head. I waved my head so he would lean down to me. I stood on my toes and asked, whispering in his ear, if Jolie was pregnant. I wasn't being rude, at least, I didn't mean to be. It's just, you don't ask girls if their pregnant. That's open season to get beat up by their boyfriend or them themselves.

"Jolie, how many month pregnant are you now?" he asked her. I blushed, embarrassed, and hid my head into his chest. Wow, I was quite the mess.

"Five months now, right?" she looked to Mitch. He nodded, resting his hand on her tummy. "Alan, you don't have to be embarrassed. It's obvious that I have a baby bump!"

I nodded my head, looking at Austin and silently asking if we could leave. I was not emotionally ready for school, and although his friends were nice, they were overwhelming and exhausting.

He said goodbye to the couple and brought me to my locker, taking my stuff out. I tried to grab it from him, but he turned away and refused to give it to me.
