"So I thought we could go home to me after school. My parents won't be home until late tonight. They're having a 'date night'" Lucas said.
"Hmm Erika may not be the youngest Sinclair so much longer!" Dustin said with a wink.
"Ew. I don't wanna think about my parents doing that" Lucas said.
"Doing what?" El said with her normal wondering look. Everyone went quite. Max looked around at everyone.
"Oh really? None of you are gonna tell her? Omg it's a normal part of life" Max said a little annoyed.
"What?" El asked again.
"Sex" Max said. All the boys went red.
"What's sex?" Eleven asked.
"Oh yeah you started just after we had s... the class we got to know about that stuff" Dustin said.
"What is it?" Eleven asked again. "Mike?" El asked and turned to a bright red Mike.
"Look El. When two people really like each other, a man and a women, a man and a man, a women and a women, doesn't matter who," Max started. She looked around at al the teenagers but extra long at Will. "maybe one day they wants to do more than kissing and hugging"
"Like what?" El asked.
"Like laying in a bed together with no clothes on while kissing and hugging" Max said now started feeling a little wired.
"Naked?" El asked.
"Yeah" Max said. "That's what makes a baby if you're not safe"
"Safe?" El asked.
"Yeah. The man has to wear a condom and the girl should be on the pill" Max said now realizing that she knew more about this than most girls her age do.
"What pill?" Eleven asked.
"A special pill that makes the chance of you getting pregnant smaller" Max explained.
"Am I on that pill?" El said.
"No you would know if you where" Mike said.
"Are you on that pill" she asked Mike.
"No I don't have to, I can't get pregnant"
"Why not?"
"I don't know. I-" mike started.
"He can't produce a child" Max said. "Because he's a man. We're not so we can get pregnant. That's why we always have to be safe. Because if you're able to get pregnant I'm sure you don't want a child at this age" Max said.
"How do I know if I'm able to get p-pregnant?" She asked.
"That's something I'm sure you don't want the boys around to hear." Max explained and blushed a little bit but not so it was noticeable.
"Why no?" She asked.
"That's girl stuff. You should ask Nancy about that. She knows more than I do" Max said to end the conversation.
"Okay" Eleven said. Max was a little happy. Under this whole time El hadn't rolled her eyes at Max even once. Maybe they could have a real friendship.
