Break up

"I'm gonna break up with her" Lucas said to the boys.
"What? Why?" Mike said.
"I thought you loved her?" Will asked.
"I do and that's why. We're both 15 now and I just can't stand not doing anything with her. Every time I see her I just picture myself inside her. And every time she touches me...She's so hot and cool and nice..." He drifted of to his thoughts.
"Okay man, we get it" Dustin said.
"Just don't tell her, I want to do that" Lucas said.
"What are we talking about?" Max asked as she entered the room.
"Nothing" Lucas said.
"Okay?" Max said and sat down beside him.
"Where's El?" Mike asked.
"She's coming" Max said.
"Where is she?" Mike said and stood up.
"On the toilet. Jeez" Max said.
"oh, Okay" Mike said and sat down again.
"So, what were you talking about?" Max said and turned to Lucas.
"I...um..." Lucas said and looked around at all the boys.
"A new game" Dustin said.
"Am I gonna have to be the one to remind you that 'friends don't lie'?" Max asked suspiciously.
"Max..." Lucas started.
"Lucas?" Max said.
"I-I just don't think this is working out" Lucas said.
"What isn't working out? The game that you're not even playing?" she asked.
"Okay i'm gonna get out of here" Dustin said and stood up.
Max turned to him confused.
"Where are you going?" She asked.
"Um... to get... snacks!" he said and rushed up the stairs.
"i'm gonna help him" Will said and joined him.
"Yeah i just don't wanna be here" Mike said and also got up and left.
"what was that all about?" Max asked and turned to Lucas confused.
"It's the relationship that isn't working out. Us." Lucas finally said.
"Are you breaking up with me?" Max asked.
"I just-" Lucas said.
"You are" Max said.
"I'm so sorry Max" Lucas said and got tears in his eyes. Max didn't have any tears. Her face didn't scream sadness, it screamed anger. Which didn't really surprise Lucas.
"Why?" She asked after a while.
"Max I really, really like you-" Lucas started.
"Tell me why!" Max said.
"I-I can't" Lucas said.
"Wow. Lucas I really thought you were better than this" Max said and stormed of just at the time when El came towards them. El just looked at the running Max and then walked towards Lucas with her death glare.
"What did you do to her?" She said and tilted down her head.
"El" Lucas said.
"No" El said and kept glaring at Lucas.
"I broke up with her, Okay?" Lucas said and also stormed off.
"What's broke up!" El screamed after him. Just by the time he left the other boys came down with a bowl of popcorn and coca cola to each of them.
El and Mike stared at each other.
"I'll talk to him" Mike said and started running after Lucas.
"I'll talk to her" El said and started running in the same direction as Max.
"Well...I'm glad I don't have these kinds of problems" Dustin said. Will just stared at him like 'Are you for real?'.

"Max" El said and walked up to Max. She sat on Mike's front porch. El sat down beside her. "I'm sorry" she said and put an arm on her shoulder. Max turned her head so El could see her red and swollen eyes.
"I love him" Max said.
"I know" El said. She was slowly getting what a break up was without anyone explaining it to her.
"I thought we would be together forever" Max said.
"I know" El said again.
"He obviously didn't have the same thought" Max said. "But I really, really love him"
"Max..." El said.
"I just want him to be happy" Max said. "So if he gets more happy by staying away from me then I'm gonna let him." She stood up. El stood up right after her, a little confused.
"Thank you for the talk El" Max said.
"Your welcome" El said very shocked. She hadn't done anything.
"Lets go" Max said. "Come on" she said and walked into the house.
"Okay" El said and followed.

Mike heard Lucas punch his hand against the wall inside the bathroom.
"Lucas don't" Mike said.
"Mike please get out" Lucas said.
"Lucas stop it" Mike said.
"I made a mistake" Lucas said and sat down on the floor against the wall. "I think I love her man. I know I love her"
"We all know that" Mike said. "Why did you have to break up with her?"
"I don't want to do anything to her that she's not ready for" Lucas said.
"Well, you could just have asked her" Mike said and sat down next to Lucas.
"But if she said no I'd probably cheat on her or something" Lucas said.
"What? Where'd you get that idea from?" Mike asked.
"I just can't keep away my thoughts anymore. It was much easier before" Lucas said. "How do you handle it with El?"
"I don't have to" Mike said.
"Wait, have you done it already?" Lucas asked.
"Yeah" Mike said.
"What do you do if someone is home?" Lucas asked.
"I just kiss her a lot and...you know, that kinds of stuff" Mike said.
"Oh" Lucas said. "But is that really enough?"
"Most of the time, but when it's not I just go home earlier" Mike said.
"Okay" Lucas said.
"Sometimes I have to go inside the bathroom and...you know" Mike said.
"Yeah I know" Lucas said. They sat quiet for a while.
"You should talk to her bro" Mike said and stood up.
"Yeah" Lucas said and stood up after him. "Thanks man" he said.
"No problem" Mike said and walked behind Lucas.
"Max!" He heard Lucas shout. He saw that Eleven started walking away from them and he did the same thing.
"Max" Lucas said.
"Lucas it's fine. I understand if you don't wanna be with me anymore" Max said. Lucas looked at her lips the whole time she spoke.
"No it's not that" Lucas said, still looking at her lips. "We're 15 now and I just can't keep in in anymore"
"What do you mean?" Max asks with a grin.
"You know what I mean" Lucas said.
"No but really, what are you saying?" Max asked.
"Max" he said and took her hands. "I love you so much it's sick. Whenever I'm not with you I just want to touch you and kiss you and when I'm with you I want to do the same thing. That's why I broke up with you."
"What do you mean?" Max asked.
"I'm just gonna say it...every time I'm with you I get a boner and I can't help it" he says.
"Oh my god" she says and laughs a little and looks down at his pants. "Oh well it's true"
"Stop it" he says. She looks up at him again. "I just didn't think you were ready and I didn't want to make you uncomfortable so I broke up with you because I didn't want to cheat on you"
"Wait, What?" She asked and took away her hands from his grip. "You were gonna have sex with someone else?"
"I thought I would" Lucas said. "But I now know that I'll never do that to you. Ever"
"Well...Lucas. I'm not gonna have sex with anyone but you either" Max said. "And I'm kinda fluttered"
"Yeah yeah" he said. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable but...are you ready?"
"Maybe. We'll see when it happens" Max said.
"So...tomorrow?" He asked playfully. She hit his arm playfully. He leaned in to kiss her.
"Max, I love you" Lucas said.
"I love you too" Max said between kisses. She eventually pulled away. "Let's go" she said and took his hand.
"And that was the shortest break up yet" Mike said as they walked passed them.
