Chris had an unusual career. Many knew him. Many couldn't care less about him. He liked it this way. His steady flow of income and complete lack of dependents made the money he earned on a daily basis more than sufficient.
He was an inventor. His parents were horrified at the prospect of their aon going into a profession that didn't come with a reliable source of income.
"Use your brain for a better purpose." they would say constantly.
If only they could see me now.... thought Chris as he perfected his bullets.
From a young age Chris had been fascinated with what he could make. He would make toy cars out of scrap metal and bottle caps and just about anything else with anything else.
One day his grandafther made a remark that changed his future forever...
"You know Christian, I bet you could make a ton of dough selling this stuff!"
His parents gasped in horror and immediately shut down the thought. But unfortunately for them those words rang clear in his mind on a daily basis.
It was from there on he decided to make stuff to sell. Solar powered kettles to remote controlled cars. All sold for pocket change to buy materials to make more stuff. They were the start of his Timeless Creations
Chris slowly and carefully walked to his workshop. A massive room with more than sufficient space for him to make his inventions.
As he opened the door he took a large breath of air, savouring the fresh air in his lungs. He almost for a moment forgot about the problem at hand. Almost...
He walked to his work desk and saw the plans for his bullets. Yup. Still there.
Perplexed Chris wondered over to his computer where his plans were digitally stored. Also still there. He would have to get an expert in to inspect his computer to ensure it wasn't hacked."Wassup Boss?" asked Jase his assistant. "You look as if a ghost came and drank your coffee. Which would be quite weird. You know....since it would be coming out of his feet again..."
Chris chuckled to himself silently. Always count on Jase to cheer you up.
Jase had been an outcast all his life. He was the last born out of his 4 siblings; 5 children in total. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters "conveniently" pushing him out of the family scheme. A late child of his parents - an outcast.
However him being an outcast sparked a determination to find his path. He would always give 110% in everything he did.
This was what caused Chris to be drawn to Jase; his amazing work ethic and drive.
These people will always help you to do your tireless work than a driven, young person.
Jase was already sitting at his desk when Chris had gotten there, spectacles hanging on his nose, steam from his coffee wafting up making his steel-rimmed glasses fog up.
"Ive got an awesome idea boss... for restaurants.....well, uh, well.... "
"Spit it out already"
"Oh alright...
For restaurants we could make interactive displays on the tables. People will be able to see the menu and select what they want to eat. Then the kitchen will receive orders just like that! GENIUS! Right??""Ah yes Jase. Very good. Uh Jase I need to go overseas to South Africa for a bit just to sort through some stuff....could you run the shop?"
"Wha-.... uh... huh? Really?"
"You're like my son! Of cou-..."
"Seriously??? Yeah!! Of course!!"
"Thanks Jase. Just remember to follow up on all the orders and make sure all the equipment is being sufficiently used"
"Yes yes Chris" said Jase distractedly already arranging what he was going to do first.
With that Chris set off to his room to pack and follow up on this peculiar request. Driven by curiosity and anger Chris was determined to find out how this person knew about his technology...
