Chapter 3

Zane's pov

My heart flatters every time I think of Xavier. That man does wonders to my body just by opening his mouth. I can just imagine me and him tangled in those sheets

Ew gross, why are you even thinking about that zane

My inner self said to me. He asked me on a date, not exactly a date, I  know it's just drinks. I'm just so excited for tonight. I rolled out of bed and took a quick shower. I wore a black pencil shirt and white shirts with black stilettos. 

I made my way to the kitchen.  The smell of pancakes just makes me drool. "Good morning rose" I greeted her with a side hug since she was busy preparing breakfast. "Good morning" she greeted me back with a hearty smile.

"Cosa ha reso così felice la mia bambina stamattina?" she asked making me chuckle

"Una donna non può svegliarsi felice? Voglio dire che la vita è fantastica" I replied, blushingly

"Se lo dici così caro" she mocked me. She kissed my cheek bidding goodbye to me and continued with her chores. God I love this woman. Rose is an elderly woman who has worked for my family since I was born. She moved here with me because she didn't want me to live alone. She's like my second mother. I love her so much. I quickly ate my breakfast since I'm late for work. I might be the boss but I am very stern about punctuality.

Xavier's pov

I got home yesterday and guess what I was welcomed with. Yep you right. Julia wearing a sexy black lingerie, she looked so sexy but I wish it was Zane instead of her. Back to the topic. We skipped dinner and went straight to the dessert.

I rolled out of bed and took a shower. After that I wore my grey Armani suit and combed my hair. I'm literally addicted to my hair. I was about to leave for work when Julia woke up. "Good morning babe" she said in a sleepy voice, it sounds so terrible. "Good morning, have a great day sweetheart." I kissed her cheek. "I wanted us to go out for dinner tonight, but your PA told me that you going out for drinks with a new business partner, so I decided i'll join you guys as your wife. And babe there's no changing my mind" she said pouting. Why the hell would my PA do that. I'll fire her today. And what the hell is Julia saying I don't want her there. Damn I have no choice or she'll emotionally blackmail me or worse call my parents. "Okay, see you tonight" I said and left. 

I got to work and was greeted by my p.a. "Good morning sir" she said. "You're fired" I got straight to the point.

Zane's pov

I came back from work early today since I wanted to get ready for tonight. I took a long bubble bath. I applied my make up, I went for a simple look. Tied my hair. I wore my dress, it's a long beautiful red dress that's perfect for tonight. I was ready and set to go. I grabbed my purse and exited my room.

Xavier texted me the name and adress of the restaurant

"How I help you madam?" A waiter asked me and I entered.

"Reservations under Knights" I said

"Okay follow me"

I followed him. I reached the table and my heart was disappointed.  How dare he bring another woman? I had high hopes for tonight's. He cleared his throat.

"Miss kings" he motioned for me to sit down.

"Good afternoon" I greeted them plastering a fake smile.

"Nice to meet you, i'm Mrs Knights" the woman extended her hand.

I froze in my seat.
