Chapter 24

Zane's POV

"you may enter" the nurse told me. I stood up from the bench and entered the doctor's office.

"Ms Kings" he greeted and I sat down.

"My name is Angelo Knights, your new doctor. But I'm sure you already know that." I nodded, it is very awkward. I mean the man probably hates me because of what transpired between his brother and I. As if he had read my thoughts, he said

"Ms Kings, I keep my personal life separate from my professional life, either ways what happened between you and Xavier is none of my business"

"Thank you" I said. I'm speechless. But I'm glad he said that, it makes me feel at ease.

"Just relax and please lie on the bed for me so we can do the ultrasound."

I got up and did as I was told. Pulling up my shirt, he applied that gel on me, and damn is it cold.

"As you can see there is a tiny dot" He said pointing at the screen. My heart was instantly filled with joy. I'm going to be a mom! Tears threatened to spill, I'm so happy.

"The three fetuses are developing" I cried in happiness. I'm having triplets! Three babies, oh my gosh how am I going to manage. Will I even be able to take care of three babies alone?

I felt his thumb, wiping the tears in my eyes, his eyes met mine, I swear my eyes were glued to his, I've never seen such beautiful eyes before. My heart skipped a bit or two

Bang!

The fall of my bag startled me from his mesmerizing eyes, and we snapped out of the moment.

"I'm sorry about that, back to where we were. So congratulations again , your babies are healthy and growing . You need to take extra care of yourself and your babies." He said with a smooth voice.

"Okay, I'll take care of myself. No words can describe the happiness I'm feeling right now. I'm overjoyed" I said with a huge ass smile. He looked at me and smiled.

"Now Miss Kings, I'll see you at our next appointment, which will be two weeks from on, I'm going to write you a prescription of some prenatal vitamins, you can get them at the pharmacy on your way out"

"Thank you" I said and got up to leave, he touched my shoulder before I can leave.

"May I have a word with you?" he sincerely asked. My heart started pounding a little fast. I nodded and he signaled for me to sit down.

"I just wanted to tell you that, well first of all I'm so happy that I'm going to be an uncle" I cringed

"Excuse me Dr, first of all, who even said that your brother is the father of my children? And I'd really appreciate it if we could keep things professional between us. You're my doctor and I'm your patient, nothing more" I said annoyed, who the gell said that I want his family in my life. I took my bag and the prescription note and got the hell out of there before he can even reply.

Well I may have exaggerated a bit, Angelo didn't really deserve that. He seems like a good person. I just haven't decided on whether I want Xavier's family involved in my life.

I got home and was welcomed by a mouthwatering aroma of food. Had dinner with my family and then went to bed.

Following day

"Ma'am, you have an appointment with two clients today before lunch and after lunch your dress fitting for the ball and after that, you'll have to go to the hotel to check all the arrangements for the ball tomorrow" Lily read me my schedule for the day. I excused her and finished up with my sketches before I went to my meetings.

My first meeting was with Lily, again. She can be such a nuisance sometimes.

"Mrs Draco" I greeted and signalled her to sit down. "What can I do for you today?"

"Well you see Zane, the dress for the ball was amazing, and thank you for that. So you see tomorrow night, my husband and I are attending a hotel opening tomorrow night and I need a dress urgently" she said, making me want to toll my eyes. I bet she doesn't know that I'm the owner of the hotel, she'll be in for a surprise! Does she really think that I'll treat her special.

"I don't think that's possible Lily, you should have made an appointment earlier because I can't help you, it's short notice and we're already swamped with orders. I'm sorry but I can't help you." I said, which is true though. "But you can still shop for a dress in the boutique, there a lot of dresses I'm sure you'll love"

"But I want a custom made dress!" she demanded. Which was annoying me. Who the hell does she think she is!

"Lily, don't you think you're acting like a spoilt brat right now? I mean, come on, grow up and realize that not everything is about you. Now I can find you a beautiful dress which isn't custom made but I'm sure you'll love it" I said and in the end we came to an agreement. I got her a beautiful dress which she loved.

I finished all of my business for the day, I sent Amanda to go check on the arrangements for the ball tomorrow, because I don't think that I want to see Xavier. The only thing left was my dress fitting, by the way I made my dress by myself, I just have to fit it again because I think I gained a bit of weight.

I can already feel that tomorrow is going to be a long day!
