Zane's pov
"Are you not going to work today?" Rose said shaking me to wake up. Is it morning already? I feels like I slept for two hours.
"I'm up madre"I yelled getting out of bed and went to the bathroom.
Twenty minutes later I was done with my morning business and ready to go to work. Walking down the stairs Rose was waiting for me. "Come and have breakfast" she said annoyed. What is wrong with her today. I followed her orders without uttering a word. She placed an omelette and juice in front of me and she sat on the chair opposite me. I dug into my breakfast ignoring her hard glares. "Zane Kings" she called. I looked up and motioned for her to continue. "Zane Kings" she called again. "Madre" I responded. "What are you doing with Xavier Knights?" She asked. "He's my business partner" I said shortly. "Is that all he is to you?" She asked suspiciously. "Yes" I answered. "Keep it that way bambino, we wouldn't want to see you getting involved with a married man now would we? Finish your breakfast and go to work" she said and got up, leaving to her chamber.
At work
Everyone was busy with orders since our new clothing line came out yesterday. That reminds me that yesterday I was suppose to go to L.A. yesterday and check out the building for my new boutique. "Mam, Mr Knights is on the line" my PA told me. I picked up the phone. "Miss Kings" he said in a professional tone. "Good morning Mr Knights, how can I help you" I responded. "My wife would like to come and shop at your boutique. I would really appreciate it if you could close down for a few hours" he said. Is he really going to pretend like nothing happened yesterday? "What time will she be here?" I asked in a professional tone. "In 30 minutes" he said. "I'll be waiting" I said and dropped the call.
"Amanda (my personal assistant) please close the boutique. And make sure beverages are available. Mrs Knights is visiting our shop. I'll be there in 30 minutes" I told her through the intercom.
