His Treasure

Chapter 5

Xavier's pov

You took my breath away tonight
-Xavier

I thought of zane as I clicked the send  on my IPhone 10. She looked stunning today, outshining every one in the restaurant today. Even Julia was no match for her.

"Do you really have to go to work today?" Julia asked, dragging  back to bed. "If I don't, then where will you get the money for your shopping sprees?" i asked her in a bored tone. "That reminds me, the ZK new clothing line is coming out today. I really want to go shopping. Will you please come with me?" She asked me with puppy eyes. She knows I can't resist them. "Okay fine, i'll love to spend the day with you" I said to her. My mind drifted off to zane. What would she be doing today?

I rolled out of bed with Julia trailing behind me showering my back with kisses, headed to the bathroom. Half an hour later,  I was ready for work.

"I'll drop by your office at 10 a.m.  today to discuss some business"

I sent the message to Zane. 

Zane's pov

I got to work pretty early today, in fact I was the first one. Today my ZK new clothing line is coming out. Shops like Prada, Forever 21, Victoria Secrets, Forever New, H&M. Will be full of my designs. I'm also thinking of going shopping today. Even though their are my designs, i just want to feel the excitement that other women feel when a new clothing line comes out. My thoughts were disrupted by a beep from my phone indicating that  I have a new message.

"I'll drop by your office at 10 a.m. today to discuss some business"
-Xavier 

I sigh as I read the message. Yesterday I thought about how I wouldn't want to be a homewrecker. I mean Xavier is a married man. I can't go on catching feels for him, a man I can't have. It would ruin my family's reputation and my career. This is just an attraction. I'm attracted to Xavier and attractions don't last long. I've decided to keep things strictly professional between me and him.

It was quarter to ten, i sat down in my office as waiting for Xavier. The door of my office opened revealing the person I least expected to see.

"Cara mia" he said with a smirk.

"London " I spat. "What are you doing here, last time I checked I never had a meeting arranged with you" I said to him.

"I didn't know i had to arrange a meeting to meet with you caro, i'm still the love of your life ain't I?" He asked as he sat down opposite me.

"Don't call me that! And FYI you were never the love of my life." He chuckled at my words. The laugh that i once used to love now made me disgusted. Such a pathetic man.

"Now please see yourself out, or would you rather prefer to be escorted by security?" I said trying to keep my cool.

He stood and made his way towards me,towering above  me, he yanked my wrist, gripping it hard enough for it to be bruised. "Listen caro,you are mine, if I can't have you, nobody else can. Remember that" he said in a dangerous tone. Suddenly he was yanked off me and thrown against the wall. "Are you fine?" Xavier asked me with concern. I nodded in response. London picked himself up and exited quietly.
