Jenny's pov
My Mom and Dad have just told me and Lola something unbelievable.
"What?" I mutter, still in shock.
"It's true. Lola is your sister" Lola's Mom confirms.
I sit in shock and look at my parents.
"We didn't know either, Jenny but it's the truth" Mom says.
I look at Lola and she looks back at me.
I've never taken notice of her features but I realise that she kinda looks like me.
She has Dad's brown hair, Mom's hazel eyes and facial structure.
"There's got to be a mistake! I know that I was adopted but there's no way that you're my birth family" Lola states.
"Lola, there is no mistake. These are your real parents" Her Mom replies, gesturing to Mom and Dad.
"Why did you give me up?!" Lola yells.
"We didn't. We didn't even know that we were having twins" Dad tells her.
"Wait! Paige had a twin?" I cut in.
Dad nods.
"When Paige was born, I started dying and was dead for a little while and your Dad was so upset and heartbroken that he left the room to get some space. And while he was gone and I was unaware, I had another baby girl but the doctors couldn't find anyone to claim her so they gave her to Miss Fern" Mom explains.
"That's what happened to me?" Lola asks, more calmer.
"Yes. Non of us knew about you" Mom replies.
"I grew up thinking I had no one" Lola whispers.
"You had me, Sunshine. You've always had me" Her 'Mom' tells her.
"I grew up with depression and guilt for what happened to my little sister" I say.
Lola looks at me and my parents sit with me.
"Which sister?" She asks me.
"Because I didn't know about you. Paige, you're twin" I tell her.
"Where is she?"
I don't answer Lola.
I look up with tears in my eyes.
"She's in a better place" I croak.
My Mom hugs me and my Dad rubs my arm.
Lola now has tears running down her face as she hugs the woman who took care of her.
"I'm sorry" She apologies.
I look at her in surprise.
"I'm sorry for the way I behaved and for getting you into trouble" She says.
"I'm sorry for being the same and for you to be told like this" I reply.
I see a small smile on Lola's face and feel one on my face.
We then hug and Mom and Dad join.
"We're sisters and Johnsons. We are proud and strong" I tell her.
"Sisters and Johnsons" Lola whispers.
Our parents go back home and we go back to our dorm and talk.
"So, what's our family like?" She asks me, curiously.
"Exciting. Sometimes crazy but that's because there's so many of us" I tell her, giggling.
"How many people are in our family?" Lola asks.
"Well, there's me and you, Mom, Dad, our brother, Daniel, Mom's parents, Dad's Mom and so many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. They're not blood related but they're still family" I inform her.
"How many exactly?" She asks.
"There's Aunt Olivia, Aunt Courtney, Aunt Boze, Aunt Kate, Uncle Jovie, Uncle Shayne, Uncle Sohinki, Uncle Flitz, Uncle Noah, Uncle Keith, Uncle Lasercorn and Uncle Damien. And our cousins are Ryan, Serina, Kathryn and Caine" I tell her.
"That's a lot" She comments.
"Yeah, big family but our family" I reply.
"You wanna watch some videos?" I ask her.
Lola looks at me, confused.
"They're all YouTubers and have plenty of videos" I explain.
She agrees and I get out my laptop and show her videos of when I was younger to the video I made with Dad before I left.
A few days before I left for college, I decided to make a video on Dad's channel.
*Flashback*
Not long left before I leave for college so I thought it would be a good idea to announce it on Dad's channel.
Me and Dad go into his computer room to film my goodbye video.
We record us playing a quick game of Minecraft then stop and look at the face cam.
"So, now might be a good time to announce this" I say.
"I've now turned seventeen meaning I can go to college so I'm afraid that you won't see me for a while. I'll be in college for a couple of years but I'll be back for holidays and film some videos with Dad and as soon as I've graduated, I'll be back more. But I'm leaving for college. I'm sad to say goodbye but I'll be back soon" I announce.
Dad then hugs me.
"We'll all miss you, cupcake but we'll be waiting for you" He tells me.
I smile and we ended the video.
*Flashback*
I smile at the memory and look through the comments on the video.
Many people say 'Good luck', 'I'm so happy for you', 'I'll miss you' and 'Please don't go' and a lot of happy or sad emojis.
It makes me happy to know that many people will miss me and wish me luck but it's more meaningful when it comes from my family.
Me and Lola keep talking so I think we'll now be ok.
We're sisters after all.
