(Emma's POV)
It's been two weeks since Killian and I's first date and things couldn't be going better. We've had two dates since then; one of them I planned which was laser tag--which I was thrilled to discover this town had--and then dinner afterwards which we both had a lot of fun during. Then the other was we made a fort out of whatever we found in our hotel room and built it around our TV so we could watch a movie while in our fort.We watched a scary movie that night, which are not my favourite but I wanted to try, and I hid my face in Killian's chest a lot but Killian kept making silly commentary that made me laugh and soon enough we were both doing it. We ended up laughing more than I thought, but it was still pretty scary. That night we also slept in our fort and woke up to find we had spilt the popcorn to which we just laughed before cleaning it up.
I don't know why I was so afraid to date him, these past few weeks have been some of the best of my life and it's not like once we started dating we weren't still best friends. We still act like we did before except we're more open with one another and more romantic.
I'm currently sitting at lunch with Emily and Laura. We're talking about something when I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. "Guess who?" A familiar accented voice asks and I laugh before thinking.
"Is it my devilishly handsome boyfriend?" I ask.
"You're so good at this," Killian says and I look up at him. "Hi."
"Hi," I say before he gives me a peck on the lips and takes a seat beside me.
"Okay, you two are sickeningly sweet, you know that?" Laura voices her opinion.
"I think it's really cute," Emily comments.
"I agree with Laura," Wayne says as he takes a seat at the table.
"I think I do too," Josh says as he sits as well. Josh has become a part of our circle of friends and I like it. He's really sweet and the girls and I have none too discreetly been trying to find a girlfriend for him. But most of the girls at this school are either too snobby or just not right for him.
"Well if either of you two had girlfriends I'm sure you'd be just as bad," Killian argues as he wraps an arm around me.
"But you sure as hell can't be worse," Laura says and Killian rolls his eyes at her. These two seem to constantly be disagreeing on things which would sometimes lead to arguments.
"Okay, next subject please," I suggest as I dig into my food. Emily suggests a random one for which I am greatful for. Emily's definitely the nice one of the group and Laura and I want to set her up with someone as well because we both know she hates being single. We tried to suggest that her and Josh get together but Emily said she didn't like him like that so we moved on.
The bell rings all too soon and we're all headed off to class. Last period we all have free period (Josh apparently has one at the same time which seems unreal but is amazing so no one questions it) and decide to go get ice cream because we had a long day at school and deserve a treat. And yes, it's almost mid-way April now so it's not exactly summer but it was warm enough today that it wasn't insane to have a cold treat.
We're all soon sitting beside the ice cream place, almost all of us with different flavours. Killian let's me take a bite out of his ice cream and I almost regret getting my chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Almost. After the ice cream, we decide to head to the park. Before we know it, we're acting like children and are playing running games like tag, camouflage and octopus. We must look insane but it's fun for us. While playing hide and go seek, I'm hiding behind a large tree--yeah not the best spot but good enough--when Killian appears in front of me.
