Lucifer was sitting in her chair, glaring Amber down. The blonde woman shifted almost imperceptibly, uncomfortable, but waved her hand regardless, allowing images of Lucifer's Zoe to show up on the screen. They were all taken in various locations, but none of them were in the apartment. There were, however, plenty of Zoe walking to and from work, in her lesson, sitting in a classroom, and lots of them were Zoe mixing drinks for people when it was far too early for anyone to be drinking.

The video that Amber put up on the screen was taken at about 1, so it was the lunch rush. Zoe was mixing drinks for customers, going from one to another with a certain grace that even the ever fluid Lucifer could appreciate. Zoe was smiling and humming a soft song under her breath, refilling drink after drink, keeping the same soft smile on her face the whole time. When she got some man a beer, her left sleeve rolled up a little, showing pale, silvery scars littering her wrist and arm.

Lucifer gasped, looking up at her love's face and noticed that the smile had turned into a smirk. That was when Lucifer knew that Zoe had done it on purpose. Lucifer also noted that there were no recent cuts, so Zoe had stopped for a while.

A slight smirk came to Lucifer's face, realizing that Amber actually thought that Zoe was still cutting. The smirk disappeared as soon as it came, due to the fact that Amber looked over at her. Lucifer resumed the expression she had previously, wide eyes and mouth slightly agape. "So, my dearest Lucifer. How does it feel to know that there are things that even your dearest girlfriend doesn't tell you?" Amber taunted, her eyes glowing with malicious amusement. Amber showed a few more clips, the last one being the smoking scene from that day, only succeeding in riling Lucifer up. "And now, for my final surprise! I sure hope you like it; after all, I spent so much time working towards this! Shaping her into the woman she is today!"

A video started, this time not showing and form of Zoe. It instead showed two men that Lucifer most certainly recognized: Dean and Cas, two hunters that had been a pain in her ass. Then another figure showed up on the screen, causing Lucifer's blood to boil even more. Amber. Lucifer watched with barely restrained rage, trying to figure out just how slowly this vile woman should be killed.

On the screen Amber was talking with the two hunters, saying something about how a woman named Zoe that lived in a small town in Colorado possibly knew something about the whereabouts of Lucifer, and how she may or may not be a demon. Amber 'wasn't sure.'

Said woman clenched her fists, her long and sharp nails digging into her palms and drawing blood. The pain brought her back, making her focus her rage into a sharp, deadly knife aimed right at Amber's heart.

A hand waved, but it wasn't Amber's perfectly tanned and manicured one. Oh no. This time, it was Lucifer's pale hand with her black matte nails, fake blood dripping from the cuticles and real blood staining the tips. There was a tense silence before the screen began to crack. It started as a little line right in the center before it grew and expanded, soon covering the screen and filling the room with the sound of Amber's hopes and dreams crashing down before her.

The rage that was on Lucifer's face was anything but fake. "Now you listen here, you bitch," Lucifer hissed, rising from her chair, "I want you to stay away from my girlfriend and out of our lives, otherwise I swear to you, you won't make it out of our next encounter so easily unscathed," Lucifer promised, stalking out of the room.

Too drained to walk home, Lucifer just zapped herself into the living room of the apartment, worrying a little when she didn't sense Zoe's presence. Lucifer shook it off, telling herself that Zoe was a responsible adult that could handle herself.

Lucifer decided to make dinner, seeing as how she was both hungry and worried, hoping to have something to take her mind off of things. She made Zoe's favourite, putting it in the proper dishes and setting it out on the table, lighting a few scented candles to both light the room up and put the faint scent of vanilla wafting through the air. Lucifer glanced at the clock, noting that it was about 6:45.

Lucifer checked the clock again, noticing that it was about 7:00. She was starting to get nervous, hoping nothing bad happened to Zoe.

Lucifer's thoughts were interrupted when the front door opened slowly, a wary looking Zoe revealing herself. Her eyes started to water, causing Lucifer to go into immediate panic mode, rushing to comfort Zoe. "Are you alright, love? Did I do something wrong?" Lucifer rambled, hugging Zoe tightly to her chest and stroking the younger woman's hair. Zoe only shook her head, still crying slightly.

"No, no, everything is perfect. I'm sorry for worrying you, I've just never had anyone care for me to this extent in a long, long time is all. So thank you." Zoe removed herself from Lucifer, wiping her eyes and glided to the table laden with dishes of food and a few candles. "Ooh! And you even made my favourite! Oh how I love you, darling. I hope you know that." Zoe gave Lucifer a loving and tender gaze so intense that it almost made the crimson-eyed woman melt. Lucifer strode over to Zoe, wrapping her arms around the woman's waist and nuzzling her face in the blue-haired woman's neck, inhaling her scent.

Zoe chuckled, removing Lucifer's arms from her and turning around, giving the woman a quick kiss before moving to a chair and leaving Satan standing there, slightly stunned. Lucifer shook herself out of it, moving to the other chair and sitting down, starting to eat dinner.

"So I met some interesting people today," Zoe said quietly as they lay in bed, Lucifer with her arms wrapped around Zoe's waist, her back pressed flush against the older woman's chest. Lucifer made a quiet hum of acknowledgement to let the young woman to that she was paying attention. "Yeah. They kidnapped me, the bastards. I'm pretty sure they were hunters, and I'm also pretty sure that Amber put them up to it. They chained me to a damn chair and threw water at me... I'm just glad it was a weekend after work," she trailed off absently, snuggling tighter in Lucifer's comforting embrace. The last bit caught Lucifer's attention, causing her to stiffen before relaxing due to Zoe's complaining.

If hunters were targeting her, then they for sure would go for Zoe as well. Lucifer briefly entertained the idea of leaving to keep her love safe, but scrapped that idea almost immediately. She didn't think either of them could handle that. {The author also really fucking hates that, just so you know}

Lucifer decided to let it play out, letting fate play it's course and fix the mess they had gotten themselves in. She instead elected to gently stroke Zoe's hair, whispering sweet nothings into her ear and fall asleep to the feeling of complete and utter bliss and serenity.
