"Ashton, I need to speak to you, please call me back."

I ended the call as I sent my eighth voice message of the day.

Ashton was still ignoring me.

I was discharged from hospital two days ago and it had been four days since my father walked out of the hospital room.

If I was able to walk without a crutch, I would probably be pacing the floor right now.

I decided to get a drink so I stood up and grabbed my crutch from next to my bed.

I put my phone in my pocket and hobbled to the top of the stairs, where I sat down and shuffled on my butt downstairs to get a drink.

As I reached the kitchen, I took my phone from my pocket and dialled Ashton's number.

It rang twice before he answered.

"Hello?"

"Ashton, I need to talk to you," I said urgently.

"About what?" His tone was pained.

"You know what," I mutter.

I hear him sigh through the phone and I can almost see him shake his head in defeat, "Okay, fine. I'm with friends at the minute, can I bring them?"

"How many friends?"

"Three," he responds.

I nod my head before realising that he cannot see me and say a quick, "Okay, yeah."

"We'll be right over."

"The door's open, come straight to the living room," I tell him then I hang up.

I wait another five minutes and true to his word, I hear the door open and four loud voices laughing and joking.

"Helloooo," I hear a voice I don't recognise call out.

"Mike, shut up," Ashton says in a tired voice.

A few seconds later and four boys walk into my living room. Ashton and three others. Ashton flops down on the sofa in front of me.

The first person behind Ashton that comes into view is a tall, skinny boy with better legs than I have ever seen on a boy. Or some girls for that matter. He flops down on the sofa next to Ashton.

Then another boy walks in. He isn't as tall as the first boy but he's still taller than me. He has hair a mixture of colours. Purple, pink and blue. Like the galaxy. He waves at me and mumbles a 'Hey' before taking a seat next to the others.

The next guy that enters my living room is a boy about my height. He's wearing a muscle vest and has dark hair and eyes. He gives me a friendly smile and says 'Hi' then sits next to the crazy-haired boy.

I take a look at the four boys seated in front of me and my eyes settle on Ashton. "Aren't you going to introduce us?"

He nods, "This daddy-long-legs is Luke," he tells me, pointing to the blonde haired boy next to him. I get the feeling Luke is not the chatty type.

"Hi," I say anyway and he gives me a curt not.

"This crazy-ass mofo is Michael," Ashton explains, indicating to the boy with the galaxy hair.

"Actually, I get called either Mikey or Mike," Mikey tells me, glaring at Ashton. "But it's nice to meet you," He jumps up and gives me a tight hug.

I smile at him, "It's good to meet you Mikey."

Then I look at the boy who was sitting next to Mikey and he grins at me, "I'm Calum. I'm not Asian and you are cute."

I laugh at his words while Ashton narrows his eyes, "Thanks Calum, and I'm Madison by the way."
