Chapter Six: YouTube Sensation

"Heartbreak girl...." Luke finishes the song and strums the last chord on his guitar.

I leap up from my place in front of the boys on the floor and burst into a round of applause.

"That was incredible!" I compliment.

They all smile at me and murmur "thanks" at my words.

"So, have you guys had any gigs?"

They each shake their heads, "Not exactly." I'm shocked.

How can guys that talented not have played any gigs?

"What do you mean not exactly?"

"Well..." Calum begins.

"We kind of have a YouTube following," Mikey announces.

My eyebrows raise and I take my phone out. I type their band name into YouTube and a number of videos come up,

The first one I see is a Teenage Dirtbag cover. I click on it and wait for it to load.

The boys gather over my shoulder and look at my phone. "Ahh. That wasn't our best video," Luke says.

I shh him as the video starts playing and I laugh as I hear them start talking nonsense at the beginning of the video.

Then they start playing the song and I'm impressed.

"Wow..." I murmur as the boys start singing.

My favourite part was Ashton's drumming solo just as Luke sings 'I got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby' and a smile breaks out on my face.

Once it's finished I press the 'replay' button and the boys groan.

"We're going to get some drinks. You want one?" Ashton asks me.

I nod my head, "Just a Coke please."

While they're gone, i check out their channel and discover that it used to only be Luke's videos that were uploaded.

Then it progressed to Michael and Calum. Then finally Ashton was introduced on the Teenage Dirtbag video. They sung my favourite genre of music but they added their own edge to it.

I was already a huge fan of the band.

They walk back into the room and Ash throws me a can of Coke.

"Thanks," I respond as I catch the drink. "Do you guys have twitter?"

They nod in response and each tell me their twitter users. I follow each of them and then turn back to the boys.

"I'm bored," Calum complains.

"How about we go shopping?" I suggest.

"Yeah," Mikey approves, "I need a new hair-dye colour. Madison you can help me choose."

I nod eagerly, "Sure. Let me just check in with my mum then we can go."

"Mike I am unsure how you have any hair left. You change the colour of it almost every month," Calum comments.

Mike shrugs. "It's interesting to why not." I hold up my hand and he hi-fives it.

I send my mum a text and let her know that I'm heading out with the boys and she texts me back saying its fine.

I lean across the room and pick up a crutch and the boys roll their eyes.

"What?" I ask indignantly.

"You're going to take forever to walk around the city," Luke mutters.

I open my mouth to argue but I'm interrupted by the sense of me being lifted into the air.
