"H E Y H O L D U P."
Bellamy ducked beneath low hanging branches and stepped over growing tree roots all while holding his wretched gun nonchalantly. As if the thing in his hand doesn't have the power to end a life in seconds. "What's the rush?"
I would say the silence was awkward but I can't speak for everyone. We managed to walk through the forest for a whole ten minutes with absolute quiet until Bellamy wanted to make his obnoxious self known. Before that Blondie continued leading the way, Wells
trailed behind her like a puppy awaiting orders, Murphy was fiddling with his shiv, and I focused on hopping into my boots.I say hop since no one was willing to wait thirty seconds for me to properly put them on.
My face contorted in reaction to Bellamy's large attitude he's barely keeping under wraps at the moment to which he shrugged his arms, confused. "What? You don't survive a spear to the heart."
Wells, despite being trapped under the enchanting spell that is blondie, has been on edge. And he has his reasons to. No one in their right mind can fully trust the two rebels with a gun.
"Put the gun away, Bellamy." Wells said no short of a command, stepping in their paths.
Murphy slid himself between him and Bellamy when it deemed unneeded, ready at the drop of a hat to pick a fight with Wells.
"Why don't you do something about it?" He pushed him back by his shoulder tauntingly.
Yet I was there to grasp Murphy's wrist, predicting the obvious action from miles away and wondering to myself if it's his life's goal to annoy me to death."Jasper screamed when they moved him." Blondie stood a couple steps away. She took her time turning around, showing she's just as tired of Bellamy and Murphy as the rest of us. "If the spear struck his heart, he'd have died instantly. It doesn't mean we have time to waste." Hoping that would end the pointless tension decorating the air she would've gone about her business, but then Bellamy happened.
"As soon as you take this wristband off, we can go." Not sure how but Bellamy was quick enough to grab Blondie, raising her hand so the wristband clanked.
"The only way the ark is gonna think I'm dead is when I'm dead." She ripped herself from his hold. "Got it."
Bellamy stepped back, seemingly impressed by her temper. "Brave princess." A dumbfounded smirk plastered amongst his lips. "Have you been giving her pointers?" His question laced with sarcasm aimed at me.
