I could feel my heart wanting to jump out of my chest. I would feel the sweat dripping off my head. There has to be another way. I looked at Zues. I looked at the window. Then I looked at the door. There was a shadow of someone, something. The door opened. "Is everything all right in here, it sounded loud." The old lady said with a raspy voice. The toddler was standing behind her with a smile.
"Oh yes, everything is alright." The man said turning to the door. I looked for any type of weapon nearby. I then saw a baseball bat under the bed. My mind kept crossing so many possibilities. I have to. I quickly ran over to the crouch by the bed. The man pulled on my leg as I reached for the baseball bat. I just pushed the baseball bat to the other side of the bed. I wiggled my leg out from his arm. I lunged over the bed, grabbing the baseball bat.
There I stood in the corner of the room. "What in the heavens girly, are you alright?" The old lady said with a concerned look. The man pushed the old lady out of the way and came over to me. I quickly swung the baseball bat at his head with all my power. "Please, stop it!" The old lady said as he fell to the floor, she ran down the creaking stairs. I banged the mans head over and over with the baseball bat. His head gushing with blood. He wasn't breathing anymore.
I think I killed him. I was panting from being out of breath. I felt like I was having a breakdown. I could hear the creaking of the stairs again. One, two, three. Eventually it stopped. She ran back in. With a long, sharp, kitchen knife, holding it high. I never knew a lady like this, could get so mad. I stepped back again the wall. The lady stabbed me in the side of my stomach. "Stop, please!" I yelled in pain, not sweat, but tears running down my face.
I took the knife out of the side of my stomach. I was hearing voices. People from school. My family. The kids playing at the playground that I walked by almost every day to Karsen's house. I fell to the ground. I dropped the knife. I started to feel dizzy. My eyes started to squint. The lady quickly grabbed the knife and, the knife was heading towards me. I saw Zues quick to bite on the old lady's leg as the lady screamed for help. Zues had his ears pinned back, growling, and biting the lady. The lady was able to slightly scratch Zues with the knife on his leg.
I could see the blood streaming down Zues's leg. Just a trickle of blood. I began to blink more, and the blackness of the blink stayed longer. I completely closed my eyes. Thinking about before any of this happened. Watching mean girls with Lillian and Karsen. Going to school dances. Never thinking of this. I fell asleep, or passed out, or died. I couldn't tell.
