I quickly woke up again. I kept my eyes closed though. Something was tugging at my foot. I couldn't tell what it was.I thought for a second, maybe the coyote? May it have come back? But it didn't seem like the coyote. It didn't seem like a human. I slightly opened my eyes. It was almost pitch black outside. The sun was coming soon though. I looked at the figure. It was big. And-and brown I think.

A bear?! I frantically shifted up against the tree. The bear backed away. But wait. It can't be... It was just a dog! "Oh- sorry buddy, come here." I said making smooching noises. The dog surprisingly came right up to me, with a wide open smile and wagging tail. I looked at his features a little more. I could tell he was a brown lab. I fed him a bone off the rabbit I ate earlier that day.

He quickly gobbled it down.  I rubbed my hand against his belly. I could feel his bones, but it wasn't to bad. I could tell he had a strong build. I told him he was a good dog. I fell back asleep, feeling safer than I did before.

When I woke up the sun was rising, and it was brighter. I looked down to see the lab sitting by my feet. Something was in his mouth. He happily wagged his tail as he dropped a rabbit by my hand. "Good boy!" I said rubbing his head. I was starting to feel dehydrated though. I can't stay here, forever.

I gave the dog a name, of Zues. For power.  "Okay, Zues, we must go. Follow." I said grabbing my stuff and sluggishly walking away. I was tired. The most tired I think I've ever been. Zues gladly made me giggle a little when he did funny things. Like walk into a tree.

I started walking on a paved road. I spotted a cabin. I walked up to it. It was very dusty. I stepped on a creaking step. I jumped back falling to the ground. A vicious looking dog jumped at me. But luckily it was on a metal chain. Very tight. I could see markings from the tight chain on its neck. "Oh, poor doggy, don't worry." I said trying to walk up to it but it barked back. I looked back at Zues.

His ears were back, snarling. I calmed Zues down by petting his head. Suddenly the front door opened. It was a man, he had a badly shaved beard, and a beer belly. His clothes full of stains. "What you doin on my property?!" He said pointing a rude finger. "I-Ih.. Was lost and -" I was quickly interrupted as a nicer looking lady came out. She was old with wrinkles and gray hair. "Oh honey, shes only a child - invite her in!" She said with a voice reminding me of my grandmother.

"Fine..." He said lowly with a aggravated voice, he opened the door wide open. I quickly walked past the doberman with Zues closely following me. The inside was kept nicely. A vintage vibe. Probably decorated by the lady. I heard a tiny child stomping down the stairs. It was a cute little girl, maybe a toddler. "Hi!" I said with a baby voice.

The door shut behind me, it locked. I turned around.  Paranoid. The old lady was just shutting it. "Go upstairs to the room on the left, and get some rest honey. Make sure your dog doesn't do anything silly." She said slouching over.

I headed upstairs, every step came with a, creaaak. I opened the door on the left. It was a pretty nice room. I can't stay here forever, though. After all, they are complete strangers. I headed to a rusty dresser. I opened the top drawer. A whiff of dust came out. "Bleugh." I said coughing. I looked inside. There was many files.

Vet Bills, Hospital Bills, Coupons, House Renting. Then the last file was titled Child Photos. It sounded a bit strange... I look at the door to see the man. I jumped with fright. "I was just- looking for some clothes to wear." I said frantically, trying to calm myself down. "Oh okay, I'll go get you some, just ask next time, no need to uh... look in the drawers." He said with a manly voice as he went down the creaking stairs. I could hear it creak 14 times. I took this information. So I will know how long I have till he comes back to the room.

I closed the door and went back to the dresser. I headed back to the last file. Child Photos. Maybe, it was just him as a kid, or his family or something? I shouldn't be looking in these files. They aren't mine...

I couldn't resist it though... I grabbed the file. I could see the dust flying up into the air. The fingerprints of mine on the file. From the dust leaving onto my fingers. I opened the file. I gasped, with wide eyes. Photos of - of... kids. Many. Abused, tortured, stripped down. Parts of their bodies taken off. I almost wanted to vomit. Well I wanted to actually.

It gave me goosebumps. I turned to see Zues whining at the door. I could hear a creak of a step. I quickly went threw the photos. The ranges of all the way of three year olds. To eighteen. I assume. I quickly closed the file putting it back under the others and quietly closing the dresser door. I ran onto the bed. Wait I shouldn't even sit on this...

I quickly stood up. I couldn't hear the creaking anymore. My heart started racing! I could hear it! I started to sweat. I wanted to pass out! The door opened! "Here you go." He said coming in looking at my face. "You alright,... - Did you look threw that dresser!" He said looking at the hand prints on the top drawer. "N-no. I mean maybe. I mean- yes! What is your problem, what is that, what are those- things- those photos!" I screamed looking around the room for some type of weapon, or escape plan.

He quickly closed the door, locking it. "What you mean, honey." He said with a evil chuckle. He looked at Zues. He kicked him, Zues gave a strong wimpier. and walked over to me. "Put these on. Now." He said pushing the clothes into my arms. "No." I said stepping away. "Now." He said rubbing his hand on my arm. "Get off of me!" I said slapping his arm.

Zues stood up, barking and barking. He growled at the man. Then he grabbed me by the arms and pushed me to the ground keeping me there. I struggled, trying to get out. But I couldn't. As I was pinned down I could see a slim window. Maybe I can, get out of here. How will I . He will grab me before I can make it out the window. If I even could wiggle out from his arms.

I bit his nose viciously. I could taste blood. I didn't know who's. But I needed to get out of here. I kept biting down on his nose. Eventually he let go of me. I looked left and right. I couldn't spot a weapon! He pushed me against a bookshelf. "Come on girly." He said chuckling as he gave me the clothes, his nose bleeding. He gave me no choice.
