"What do you want to talk about?" She asked, looking directly in front of her. Her hands were clutched to her sides and she had a trace of frustration on her face.
I stayed silent and observed her but, she strangely seemed content with the quiet atmosphere.
"I overheard what you said to Irene and Wendy the other day," I finally said and she didn't budge. She let out a bitter laugh, "And what? You came here to confirm I didn't have any 'malicious intentions' against you?"
"Well, not exactly. I just wanted to ask why you did what you did. You risked your security to save mine. I find that quite... admiring," I responded and she turned her head to face me.
"My security was bound to break anyway. Whether I interfered with you or not. Maybe I was too obsessed with keeping my image and avoiding to become a victim,"
I stared at her and there was a sense of loneliness cloaking around her. She isolated herself from everyone to avoid confrontation but her impulse got ahead of her.
Maybe I'm just over-analyzing things.
"You seem like a lonely person, Jisoo-ssi. If you were so obsessed with keeping your image why did you decide to act then? It seems abrupt."
She stared even more intently at me with a vague expression on her face.
"Have you ever felt a moment when you were done with how things were and just wanted something to change?"
I chuckled half-heartily, "I think about that every day."
"Don't you ever wish you had someone you could rely on? Instead of dreading the fact that you would be alone your entire life?"
"You can rely on me," I responded suddenly but, when I realized what I said, I looked away quickly. I could feel my face heat up, of embarrassment, by the second.
She didn't say a thing and I heard a small laugh escape her mouth.
