My eyes fluttered open as the rays of sunshine seeped into the room

My eyes fluttered open as the rays of sunshine seeped into the room. I groggily sat up, my hair and clothes disheveled with trails of drool painting it's way down my chin. I frowned in disappointment when Jin was no longer in front of me.

Instead, I found a note laid on the coffee table- penned in neat curved letters.

Kim Jisoo,

I'm sorry that I had to leave early without saying thank you, I just wanted to save you from anymore burdens. If people at school see us together, it will not end well. I washed and folded the clothes you lent me and cooked breakfast. Hope you feel better after last night and thank you for letting me stay over.

Sincerely, Kim Seok-jin

Yesterday's events instantly flooded in my mind and a distinct tint began to fill my cheeks. His arms were wrapped around me, hands stroking my hair gently. It was almost like a dream, as I remembered myself crying myself to sleep. I slapped myself lightly for blushing at the memory of last night.

It was just one night and now you will ignore each other as always, I thought- mentally scolding myself. I dragged myself to the kitchen and found a cheese omelet greeting me on the counter. It smelled good and was still warm as it melted in my mouth. He's a good cook.

I looked at the time and finished the food hastily, running upstairs to get ready for school. I slipped on my school uniform and smiled softly when I realized it was newly washed. I sniffed it and the smell of lavender filled my nostrils.

He really overdid himself, didn't he?

I entered the school and noticed how I received some stares from those around me. I shrugged it off, as I always do, and made my way into the classroom. Freezing in place, my face hardened when I witnessed Jin defiantly confronting two other male classmates, who were definitely not in our class. I assumed it was for his keys.

I sat down, his eyes following me as I took my seat. His stare remained on me, as he ignored the insults and shouts coming from the boys surrounding him. He only paid atention to me, but I could only look down in embarrassment.

"Yah, what are you looking at you piece of shit?!" The guy yelled, following Jin's field of vision and started staring at me dangerously. He smirked, and walked closer to me, his hand coming in contact with my chin. Jerking my head up with his hand, he brought his face closer to mine.

"She's quite a looker, ain't she? How would you feel if I did this?" He mocked, rubbing his hand on my leg, rising up to my thigh. I froze in shock, and all my pride faded away only to be replaced with pure fear.

Silence quickly draped across the room, people looking at the scene before them with no intention to intervene. His other hand snaked it's way to my lower back and my breath hitched. I wanted it to stop, I didn't want to be shamed in front of the whole class.

Holding in my tears, I squirmed out of his grip and he looked at me with a threatening look on his face. "Yah, you bitc-" He was about to slap me until Jin ran to him and punched him in the face, tackling him to the ground.

"Don't. Fucking. Touch. Her!" He yelled in a menacing voice, speaking in between each punch. I quickly snapped back to my senses, grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the unconscious body, people looking at us fearfully. I stared at him, his eyes were evidently angry and he was clenching his fists.

Tension and silence drifted in the air, everyone speechless and Jin's outburst.

"This is what he's capable of everyone. Those who doubted me can finally see that he isn't some defenseless victim," Irene sneered, coming out from the crowd, where she had been watching. Others nodded in response and glared towards our way.

She approached me arrogantly and squeezed my wrist tightly.

"And it seems he has our friend Kim Jisoo stuck in his web of lies," She hissed, her sharp fingernails streaking across my face. She then reached into her pocket and threw a set of keys onto my chest.

"There's no point in pretending to be friends anymore. Isn't that right, Jisoo?" She exclaimed, a sickly sweet smile on her face.

I nodded and sent her a cold stare. "Right. We all are gonna die anyway. And you all will see, before that day comes, what kind of psychotic asshole this bitch is," I replied and she stared at me in shock before slapping my face.

"Talk to me like that again. You'll regret it," She whispered in a low, bitter voice.

"Leave, before I get both of your asses expelled."

"I wouldn't mind leaving this hellhole of a school," I shot back and she sent me a threatening glare.

"It's a little too late for that, honey."
