Virgil nervously paced his room, wringing his hands. He suddenly jumped when Logan cleared his throat from behind him.

"Dude, what the heck?!" Virgil exclaimed, hand on his chest. Logan rolled his eyes. "How long have you been standing there?"

"Virgil, we were talking about three minutes ago, and then you started pacing," Logan explained.

"What are you- oh, yeah, right," Virgil said, remembering. He had called Logan for help because he was stressed. Logan had asked what was wrong, and talking about it had sent Virgil into a nervous spiral. He had gotten so worried, Virgil had completely forgotten he was talking to someone.

"So are you ready," Logan asked, adjusting his glasses.

"Do I look ready?!" Logan looked Virgil up and down, frowning slightly. Virgil's hair was askew, and his nails were bitten down to the quick. Logan shook his head and handed Virgil a hairbrush.

"Make yourself look presentable Virgil, today is the big day," Logan said.

"Yeah, right. The big day," Virgil breathed, panic seeping into his voice. Logan quickly helped him calm down, but the worry never left him completely. Today marked Virgil and Roman's two year anniversary, and Virgil was going to propose. He had never been the romantic one of their relationship and that was why Virgil wanted to do this for Roman. To give Roman the fairytale relationship that he had always wanted.

There was a Disney themed carnival that was in town, perfect for Roman. They were going to go the to the fair and visit certain stands. Each stand would give Roman a red rose until he had eleven of them. Then they were going to go on the Ferris Wheel. Virgil had the last rose, a purple one, and in its petals was the ring. It was perfect.

Virgil popped up in the common room, dressed in his usual attire, Roman already waiting for him.

"Ready hot topic?" Roman asked, linking arms with Virgil.

"Aw, you think I'm hot," Virgil said with a smirk.

"Of course I do!" Virgil blushed. Even after two years of dating, Roman could still make Virgil's heart flutter, even at the smallest things. Roman smiled and held up a corsage. It was a small red flower wrapped in white lace.

"For you, my love," Roman said, pinning it to Virgil. Finally ready to go, the two headed out into the night, each with very different plans.

The entire way to the carnival, Virgil could hardly contain his excitement while Roman was none the wiser. The two walked under the big, balloon arch and entered Disney mania. Everywhere, people milled about, Mickey Mouse ears atop of each person's head. Iconic Disney figures littered the carnival grounds along with Disney themed games. Roman gasped and pointed, enjoying every second of it.

"I still think that the prince in Sleeping Beauty should have gotten consent before kissing her," Virgil argued as the two pass "Aurora" taking pictures with fans.

"I swear-" Roman began but was cut off when a nearby clerk from one of the stands stopped them.

"A rose for you mister," they said before disappearing into the crowd. Roman stared down at the red rose in his hands then looked at Virgil.

"Do you know what that was about?" Roman asked, still staring at the beautiful flower.

"No idea." Roman thought Virgil was lying but decided not to press. If Virgil was planning something, Roman didn't want to ruin the surprise. The two continued through the fair and every five minutes or so, another salesperson would offer Roman a rose. The couple finally made it to the Ferris Wheel, Roman with his arms full with a bouquet of roses. Virgil spotted a white ribbon and handed it to Roman who gratefully tied his roses together in a bunch.

As they boarded their carriage on the wheel, the moon and stars began to rise, illuminating the night sky. Roman gazed out the window, watching as the world began to disappear as he rose higher and higher until they were at the top. Roman heard Virgil clear his throat and he turned with a gasp.

There, kneeling on the metal floor of their carriage, was Virgil and in his hands was a violet rose.

"For you, my love," he said, mimicking Roman's words from earlier. Roman took the rose, and as he did he spotted something glinting in the middle. Roman gingerly removed Virgil's engagement ring. It was a gold band with a brilliant white diamond on top of it. And on either side were small black diamonds. Virgil opened his mouth to propose formally, but Roman quickly cut him off with a kiss. He pulled away and smiled.

"Yes."
