~Two Weeks Later~

Tom payed frequent to Tord, checking to see if he was awake. Of course, Tord was always still unconscious. He had always left at Midnight, so Edd and Mat wouldn't know he's leaving then get suspicious. Edd was already suspicious enough, and Tom has no idea if he's told Matt or not.

While in his apartment, Tom was on the couch, flipping through the channels. He couldn't actually be bothered to pick a channel, since he found nothing interesting. Suddenly, he could hear his ringtone go off from his phone, coming from his room. He quickly rushed to his room.

"Please let him be awake..." Tom muttered under his breath. He slammed his bedroom door open, snatching his phone from the top of his bed side table. He answered the call, not looking at the number.

"He's awake." Paul informed. Tom had requested that Paul or Patryk call him if Tord woke up, so that he could get there instantly.

"Thanks!" Tom quickly thanked before hanging up. He shoved his phone in his hoodie pocket, grabbed a black jacket, then ran out the door. Unfortunately, Edd heard the slamming of the alcoholic's door.

"Tom? Where are you going?" Edd questioned, peeking his head out his apartment. Tom didn't stop, so he ignored Edd. He rushed to the elevator, heading to the lobby. Edd took the second elevator, wanting answers. The two got to the lobby, Tom being the first there.

"Tom! What's going on?!" Edd questioned. Tom breathed heavily.

"I'm seeing an Old Friend." Tom answered quickly. He ran faster, as Edd slowed down in confusion. The blue Brit disappeared from the Colaholic's sight.

Tom dashed down the streets of the small town, shoving by multiple people. He quickly made his way to the Red Army Base. He knocked on the large, metal door. Patryk answered.

"Your here, come on, he's in the room he's been in for the past couple weeks." Patryk greeted. Tom ran down the halls. He knew his way there by now, it was the same room that he had been in after being in that fight. None of the soldiers questioned him anymore, since they were used to Tom being here.

Tom burst into the room that held Tord, seeing Tord alive and well, with Paul chatting with him, well, talking to him through paper. Tord couldn't here nor see the sound waves of the door slamming open, so he had no idea Tom was here. Luckily, Paul was on that.

Tord soon turned around to face Tom. His entire right eye had blood and burns around it, with a burgundy eye patch covering the empty eye-socket. It wasn't empty like Tom's eyes were, but empty as there was a lot of blood and bone exposed, hence the eye patch. The two just stared at each other in silence. Tord didn't expect Tom to be here out of everyone. If anyone, he expected more soldiers of his to be here, basically anybody but Tom.

"Hey." Tord said, having a slight voice crack due to not talking in two weeks.

"Hey..." Tom greeted, a slight smile on his face. Tord returned the smile.

"So...I can't hear or see what people say, so I am officially deaf again." Tord said, forcing a light laugh. Tom nodded in response.

"Luckily, he isn't blind." Paul informed. Tom sighed. He was smart enough to pull out his phone.

'So, how much does it hurt? The burns I mean' Tom texted. Tord started typing a reply almost instantly.

'More than u can imagine' Tord replied. Tom felt hurt just by hearing how much pain Tord was in. Tord wouldn't be deaf if it weren't for him...

'If only I could make it up to u' Tom replied. Tord was confused.

'Wut do u mean?' Tord questioned.

'If I hadn't shot you down then you would have never been deaf in the first place' Tom texted.

'If I hadn't gotten the robot out then you wouldn't have had to shoot me' Tord remarked.

'If I hadn't brought wanted poster after choosing to leave you wouldn't have had to pull out the giant robot' Tom replied. He was now just feeling more and more guilt, which is not okay for an already emotionally unstable alcoholic male who has been through hell and back, literally and metaphorically.

'If I hadn't pestered you and called you names so much you wouldn't have left' Tord texted. He could tell Tom was feeling guilty, he could see it written on his face.

'If I hadn't hated the fact that you were at the house, that if I didn't lash out at you so much, you wouldn't have had a reason to pester me' Tom texted. At this point, the two were purposely taking the blame as he game.

'If I hadn't come back in the first place then you would've just continued being happy' Tord texted. Tom was as stumped as a tree with a lumberjack nearby.

'If I hadn't been annoyed with you all those years before then it wouldn't have mattered if you came back or not' Tom texted after several minutes. Just as Tord thought he won, too.

'If I hadn't covered up my love with hate then you wouldn't have been annoyed with me in the first place' Tord replied. He only realized what he said after he sent it. The two sat in silence, both with red and blank-slate faces.

'If I hadn't been there all those years then you wouldn't have fallen for me' Tom finally texted as if this was a normal, everyday conversation. Oh, but that's not all. They weren't just privately texting, oh no no no no no. Tom had accidentally put them on the old group chat, the one that Matt and Edd also get notified for when someone texts through it. Did either of them remember, or even notice? Nope, or at least, not Tom or Tord.

'Tom? What's going on?' Edd texted. Both Tom and Tord had no way out of this one.
