The best of the best were hired. Everything was done to perfection for today's events. Children were running helter skelter round the Sultan mansion. While the adults were catching up on the latest atampa design,designer shoe brand,who wore this to this event and all those stuff the elite Hausa modern elderly women talk about when they gather.
Mama made sure everything was on point. From the food to the decor to the way the brides maids were dressed. Funny how she wasn't even dressed but was ushering people to get dressed.
Today's event was the famous Kamu. One of the most important events of the Hausas. Nadeen's makeup was getting done by the one and only Ami Mansur(owner of ammimah group). Her skills are amazing. She's one of the best here in Nigeria.
The event was to take place in Hotel 17. Everyone was trying to look his/her best. No one wanted to be left out.
Well everyone except the bride was happy. She was trying not to spoil her makeup with tears as she is a fan of makeup but today she feels like clawing at her face to remove the makeup. She hated this feeling. She felt dejected,defeated even. She felt helpless. She didn't want to get married. Not now at least. She felt all her hatred towards Azaad grow stronger. He's responsible for her being in this situation and she will make sure to make his life a living hell. He would regret this. That she would make sure of. Heck, it was a secret promise to him.
Aunty Amrah(what Nadeen calls Ami mansur) was finally done with the makeup. She was going to change to the clothes for the event and only then would she be allowed to look at herself.
