It has been a week since Nadia's death but the house was still gloomy and very unlively. Unlike the other days when you would hear Mama and Nadeen's laughter blooming.

Nadeen was still in remorse but she gathered herself and took everything into her hands. She couldn't tolerate the lack of happiness in her home so she opted for remembering her parents that today is the baby's naming ceremony and decided to tell them Nadia's wish.

Her parents were also deciding how to confront her with what they decided at night.

She entered their room muttering a salam and bent down to greet them. "Ina kwana baba, ina kwana mama(good morning baba and mama). "Lahia lau Nadeen." Baba answered while mama just nodded her head.

"Baba dama nazo in tuna maku yau ne fah sunan yarinyar Yaya Nad." (Baba I came to remind you guys that today is Yaya Nad's baby's naming ceremony).

"I know. Your uncle (Hajia Larai's husband) told me and it's by 1 pm so get ready."

"Okay Baba, I will insha Allah (By Allah's grace).

By 1 pm Nadeen was all set wearing a purple lace with some touches of coffee brown here and there. It was a long gown that was brushing the ground so she wore her brown wedge shoes. She applied a bit of makeup and looked all ready to go. She put on a black veil and wrapped it around her shoulders. In a few words, she looked strikingly gorgeous.

Mama also made a little effort and she also looked beautiful masha Allah. Baba came out wearing a white kaftan which made him look handsome also. He shaved his bushy beard a bit and looked elegant.

"Nadeen fito mu tahi."(Nadeen come out and let's go). "Okay Baba". Nadeen came out looking all gorgeous and Baba complimented her which made her look down and mutter a thanks. She also didn't miss the approving and proud smile she recieved from mama.

In the car Nadeen told Mama and Baba all about Nadia's wish of her baby's name. They all agreed to it but set a nickname for her.

At Hajia Larai's house, foods of various kinds were served and people were everywhere. The place was crowdy and full. And old women full to the brim. Definitely not the type of place Nadeen would want to be but she had no choice anyways.

"Hadiza (mama's name), when are you getting Nadeen married? She has come of age you know. Look at her, looking so big and matured. I think it's high time she becomes a complete lady and get a man of her own. A man she can call hers". One of her grandmother's sisters said. Mama just briskly nodded and told Nadeen to go and meet her cousins. Eagerly Nadeen stood up and immediately left outside for inside.

Azaad just shook his head and also went inside. As he got in he muttered a salam and a chorus of answers was heard. He looked for a place to sit but there was none except close to Mrs. T (he called her mrs cos he thinks she is married to talk. And the T stands for talkative). He made way and was about to sit when ya Ahmad told him to sit on his seat, he will sit next to Nadeen. He just shrugged and made way for his seat.

All the cousins were looking at this with rapt attention and they all noticed something except Nadeen.

As they were all bored they opted for truth and dare but Azaad wouldn't play. They all begged but he said he wouldn't but seeing his sister Aminah coming in he quickly told them to count him in.

Halfway through the game, Mama told Nadeen that they were going home. She told Mama she would come with one of her cousins but Mama denied. Much to her surprise she told Azaad to bring Nadeen home and he just nodded.
