Finn's POV:

I glance between the others to the left of me, not really knowing how to answer her simple yet complex question. "Well, we're her friends." Gaten says with a shrug. "Best friends," Sadie corrects with her hand in the air, one that Gaten lowers with a shake of his head. I raise my hand slightly, "Boyfriend.. actually." I mention sheepishly as Paige raises a brow at me in suspicion, almost as if she didn't believe me. "Alright, and I assume you guys have names?" She says like it should've been obviously needed. "Oh right, uh.. well that's Finn, Caleb, Sadie, Gaten, and as you know, Noah." Millie introduces for us while pointing to each one of us as she stands beside her sister. "And Finn's your..?" "Boyfriend? Yes, he is." The brunette answers with confidence, and repressing a smile when she glances over to my smirking face. Paige shoots me a skeptic smile, "Great."

Millie's POV:

"So, now that you know us.. where should we put our stuff?" Gaten asks curiously as he stands from the couch. Paige places a hand on her popped out hip, "Well.. as I said, I only have three bedrooms and one is mine so I guess we could have two per room and then two out here on the couches." She explains with various hand movements. "Sounds good but.. who goes where?" Noah questions innocently as he grabs his bags. "Uh... I guess we could have Noah and Gaten out here, Finn and Caleb in one room and.. Millie and Sadie in the other." Paige selects, the six of us nod and begin grabbing our luggage from the floor. Once holding my suitcase and bag I begin down the hall with Finn just beside me. "Does she hate me or something?" The dark, tussled haired boy questions lowly, only for me to hear. I furrow my brows, "What do you mean?" He presses his lips together as if he didn't want to say it but has to anyway. "She has us in separated rooms." He mutters quietly.

"So?" I question further with a raised brow and slight smirk. "So.. maybe I wanted to share a room with you." Finn admits, though I only shake my index finger slowly saying 'no'. "Wrong, you wanted to share a bed with me. And we all know that can't go, Finn." I correct with raised eyebrows. "So what?" He asks, leaning closer to me. "Breaking the rules can be fun, y'know." He whispers in my ear softly before walking away into the room Caleb had already chosen for them. The words seem to stay there in my head, the heat of his deep voice never seeming to dissolve from my ear along with the words laced into it. Now it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that he has on the biggest smirk right now, you don't even have to see his face to know that. Oh but you know that smirk is full of pride, pride that he still has such an effect on you, one that is so easily achievable. It's just something you can feel, especially when he's just made you freeze where you stand with your knees shaking so bad your sure you could collapse at any moment. Damn you, Finn Wolfhard.. damn you.

My thoughts only dissipate when a fiery red haired girl pops her head out from a doorway just a few feet down the hall with a smile. "You coming or you just gonna stand there like an idiot all day?" She teases with a raised brow until disappearing back into the room. I blink a couple times as I regain my stability and start down to my shared room. I stroll into a fairly large room painted a modern beige color that ties perfectly together with the antique designed wooden floors that spread all through out the apartment. With the backboard against the furthest wall from me, a queen sized bed accompanied by grey and black sheets sits perfectly at the center of the room; hopefully ready to be occupied by two teenage girls. I watch tentatively as the blue eyed girl with fiery red hair tied up in a high pony tail removes her folded clothing from her suitcase, and hangs them neatly on one of the many hangers provided. She then set them back on the horizontal wooden pole built into the closet that is both built into the wall and conveniently cut down the middle by a thin, wooden wall probably only put there for stability.

Sighing, I continue into the room and slip my bag off my shoulders and onto the ground along with my suitcase that I heave onto the bed. "What were you and Finn talking about?" Sadie asks while wearing a smirk as she finishes hanging up her tops. I shrug, trying to ignore her and focus on the mounts of clothes she somehow stuffed in my suitcase. "Nothing, why?" I reply, beginning toe same act she had just finished but instead hanging them on the empty side of the closet. "Oh, I don't know- your face just looks like a freaking tomato." She says, giggling after as I unknowingly smile. "So.. what were you talking about?" Sadie eagerly asks though I only roll my eyes as a response. "Nothing! Just about cheese or something, I don't know." I say, making up an excuse.

"Bull-shit. I saw him whispering something to you, so tell me! I'm your best friend, aren't I?" Her sparking blue eyes glimmered with hope that I'd cave and tell her. I could.. but where's the fun in that?  Instead I shake my head and go on with my task. "You know, I'd tell you what Caleb said if it were me. But no, Miss Brown has to keep secrets from her best friend!" She mimics, though I know it's just another trick of her's. The guilt trick. I shrug as if to say, 'sorry, not my choice' with a small smile. The redhead groans in annoyance as she falls back onto the bed, "You're so annoying!" I snicker at her extra-ness as I hang up the last top I brought and start on putting my already folded bottoms neatly into the square-like shelves below the hanging-section of the closet.

By the time I finish Sadie is scrolling through her Instagram in the same position as before, her eyes full of boredom as she does so. Before I can say anything to her there's a quick knock on our door followed by 'dinner's ready', indicating that they already left. "Hear that? Food, real food." I announce to Sadie who shrugs, still not amused. I hit the back of her phone so it falls on her chest, "Hey!" "Come on! Paige's a great cook, trust me." I insist as I grab her hand and rush out of the room, letting go once I know she'll follow me. We walk into the more open area of the apartment to see everyone already sitting or just about to, around the old rectangle dining table we gave to Paige as a 'moving out' present. "There you are, you had me thinking I'd have to eat with a bunch of pubescent boys." Paige greets jokingly, causing Sadie and I to share a giggle as she continues setting plates of food in front of each occupied seat. Already knowing where I'd choose to sit, Finn pushes out the empty seat between himself and Noah before greeting me with a polite smile. "Finish unpacking?" He asks curiously as I scoot the chair forward. I nod, "Yeah. Not much to unpack though, you?" I respond, to which he simply nods.

"Alright sister and strangers, time to eat." Paige announces as she sits down at the head of the table, setting off a chain reaction of teenagers digging into the well cooked meal. After a few minutes of silent eating and quiet 'thank you's to Paige, she begins with her profound questionings. "So, Finn." The light brown haired girl starts, gaining Finn's attention instantly as he swallows whatever food he was eating quickly. "Yes?" He replies with the smallest hint of nerves hidden in his confident voice. She raises a brow at him, "How did you and Millie meet?" The sound of a silver fork echoes throughout the apartment, causing all heads to turn towards the culprit. Sadie sheepishly smiles as she regains her posture, "Sorry.. spasm." I notice Gaten softly snicker at her in amusement until the silence is reestablished. Oh god, when will this end? "Well uh.. we got introduced to each other by a mutual friend-" Finn starts before being cut off by the same interrupting redhead, "That would be me." He nods as if to say 'yeah.. good job genius'. "That's nice.. and how did you two start dating?" Paige asks curiously as she twirls her fork in her hand aimlessly. Finn glances to me, revealing the obvious fear and uncomfortable spark in his eyes that probably no one else can see. "It kind of just happened, one thing led to another and before you know it.. he's my boyfriend." I explain for him, he gives me a smile and nods to Paige. While doing so his knee brushes up against mine accidentally, and even that small contact is enough to make me feel secure and all warm inside. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
