Finn's POV:
"Woah, what's with all the yelling?" Millie asks the second I walk into the living room where they wait at the door, touching my arm in attempts to make me face her. "Nothing. It's not important." I mutter lowly, brushing off her electrifying touch and starting out the door. "What's his deal?" I hear quietly behind me, the voice belonging to Noah. If only you knew. I start speeding down the stairs with them at my heels, my anger slowly disintegrating with every flight we run down. Once out onto the streets, that same city smell fills my lungs and engulfs everything around me. "Alright, where to first?" I ask curiously as I pull my beanie over more of my ears. Millie scans the populated area, "Um.. how about we just start walking and see what we find?" She suggests. Noah and I glance to each other before nodding in agreement. "Okay, then walking we shall." I insist, beginning to stroll down the cement walkway of the city with the two at my sides.

Eventually we come across an old fashion restaurant, one similar to Riverdale's Pop's in a way but with less neon. The three of us head inside and sit down in a booth with Millie and I on one side and Noah on the other. "You're so fucking stupid." Millie says with a giggle after a dumb joke Noah made, one that still happened to make us all laugh. "I know right?" He remarks, causing us to go into another fit of laughter as he smiles widely. Our laughter slowly dies as we see a young waitress with bouncy, blonde-ish brown hair and bright red lips come our way. Wearing a 'Sandy's Milkshakes & Grill' uniform with a bright pink apron tied over her upper waist. She could pass for our age.. wonder if she actually is. "Good morning folks, I'm Iris and I'll be your waitress for today. Should I start you guys off with some drinks? We have an all milkshake special going on for the holiday seasons, 25% off." Iris speaks cheerfully as she passes out our menus and clicks on her pen, ready to begin writing.
"The lady and I'll have two of the special, please and thank you." I order, smiling when I notice Millie's out of the corner of my eye. Iris smirks at me, raising her brows before turning to Noah. "And for you, sir?" "Um.. I think I'll have the strawberry milkshake, extra whip cream please." Noah orders, glancing down at his menu frequently as he also tries to stare at the young waitress. "Extra whip cream, huh?" She repeats in a surprised tone as she raises an eyebrow at him. Noah glances to us in confusion before answering, "Uh- yes?" He guesses, not really knowing what to say. "I don't know.. you seem to have all the cream you need." Iris mentions as she bites her lip, her eyes set on Noah as he turns a crimson red. "Th-Thank.. y-you?" The flustered boy manages to get out before she nods and walks off, adding a sway in her hips as she moves.
Once out of ear range, Millie and I stare, gaping at the beaming boy before us. "She was totally hitting on you!" Millie exclaims lowly though still in a high, squealing pitch. Noah furrows his eyebrows, "What? No, she was totally hitting on Finn!" He protests, causing us both to just stare at him blankly. "Are you seriously that oblivious? She didn't give a rat's ass about me." I explain, receiving a glare back from Noah due to the first comment. "Yeah, and 'you seem to have all the cream you need'? Noah she fucking likes you." The brit reasons, though Noah only rolls his eyes in reply. "I don't think you understand. Finn, here, he's literally a fucking heartthrob. Why would anyone hit on me when Mr. Heartthrob is right there?" He remarks while gesturing his hand to me until letting it fall back on the counter.
"Uh, duh, because I'm obviously taken? Noah you act like you don't want to be hit on by her, dude she's hot!" I exclaim to him before being elbowed in the ribs harshly by the small body next to me, causing me to jerk. "Not as hot as Millie, of course, but still y'know.. okay." I insist with a glance to the glaring brunette beside me who eventually nods in approvement. "I don't know.. don't you think getting into a relationship now would be a bad idea?" Noah questions as he folds his arms on the table. I shrug, "How do you know you'll even start a relationship?" He nods, knowing I'm right. Millie reaches over and takes his hand, "How about you just invite her over, nothing wrong with a little company, right?" She queries, causing a small smile to form on his lips as he nods.
"Alright, it's settled then. You're asking Iris to-" Just then the same young waitress is at our table, handing out our milkshakes. "Asking me to what?" Iris asks curiously, her gazing over mine skeptically. "T-To come over, to our apartment." Noah finishes, catching the blonde's attention instantly as his stutter comes back. "Oh?" She says, raising her drawn eyebrows. Noah unknowingly smiles, "Yeah.. I mean, only if you want to." Iris glances over her shoulder at the clock, turning back to us with a smirk. "I get off work in an hour, if you want to order some food as well I'm sure I could go with you." Noah glances over to us, waiting for us to nod which we almost immediately do. "Uh-yeah, we were going to anyway." The blue eyed girl smiles, "Great, what can I get you then?"

During dinner we share jokes and be ourselves, feeling joy in the sense of normalcy the small restaurant we already know is one of our favorites. There's just something about it that feels like home, that feels like nothing changed. "You guys ready?" Iris asks as she approaches our booth, wearing a north face water repellent jacket that has fur on the inside, dark navy skinny jeans, bright red gloves, and a white beanie that just barely cover her ears. "Wow.. you look-" Noah starts, being finished by the girl herself. "normal? Yeah, it's not everyday you see a waitress in their own clothes." She jokes with a bright smile, one that I can tell Noah already adores. "Shall we?" I ask, gesturing to the exit. They all nod in response, following after me as I open the door for them but letting Noah hold it for Iris.
"So Iris, what brought you to Indianapolis?" I question with Millie to my left and her to my right as we walk. She shrugs, "I've lived here for five years with my dad.. but he uh- passed away this year." I frown, feeling guilty for asking even when I know I shouldn't. "I'm sorry to hear that." I apologize as I redirect my eyes to my shoes. "Wait, so you live alone?" Millie asks worriedly, her light eyes full of both shock and concern. Iris nods, "Apartment 10B, Sunset Towers." She explains. "Hey, isn't Sunset Towers just across the street from us?" Noah mentions, an obvious amount of excitement in his voice. "You're kidding!" The blonde insists, sounding just as excited. "No, really! I remember seeing an apartment called Sunset Towers when we walked out of our building." The boy answers as he softly smiles. "I guess it must be fate that I met you guys, huh?" "Must be." Millie whispers beside me with he eyes straight ahead, an almost amused expression printed on her gorgeous face.
We continue walking until finally reaching apartment E11 of Auburn Apartments. I slip off my green bomber jacket and hang it on a nearby chair, kicking off my Vans right after. "We're home!" I announce to the apartment, assuming the other three are still here. "And we brought a guest!" Millie adds on just as the sound of footsteps against the hardwood floor begin from down the hall. "A guest?" I hear the familiar sound of Sadie's voice question just before she emerges from the hallway with Caleb in her hand. "Oh, a guest!" Sadie repeats once spotting Iris, bringing Caleb with her as she goes to introduce herself. Caleb shoots me a deathly glare as the to walk past me, though replacing it with a friendly smile once seeing Iris. "Hi, I'm Sadie and this is my boyfriend Caleb." The redhead explains as she shakes her hand. "Iris." She replies, smiling. "Iris, huh? Pretty name for a pretty girl." Sadie insists with a playful wink that makes Iris turn to Noah, raising her eyebrows at him. "Where's Gaten?" Millie asks after a moment of silence. "Asleep in Finn's bed, he still hasn't woken up." Caleb shrugs as he wraps an arm around Sadie's waist, an act I think we've all grown used to seeing. "It's 1:34 pm.." Millie interjects, again Caleb simply shrugs as a response. Oh Gaten, you never fail to be lazy.. do you?
