Finn's POV:

Leaning down, I bring my lips close to her ear. "Follow my lead." I whisper softly as she then whips her head in my direction. "What?" She whispers, though I simply ignore her. "Well, I guess we should let you guys be. See you in a bit." I insist to Noah and Iris, seeing out of the corner of my eye Sadie and Caleb slink back to her room as I grab a few blankets, my jacket, and Millie's hand before dashing out of the apartment. Practically dragging her behind me, I race up the staircase with her hand twined with mine. "Where are we going, Finn?" Millie questions, a of annoyance present in her accented voice. "You'll see! You just gotta trust me." I answer with a smile as I hear a soft groan behind me. We run all the way up until reaching the rooftop door that I open by using my back. I scan over the plain roof built with cement, the only protection from falling off being the two foot high cement wall that surrounds the flat surface. Glancing up, I watch as the sun peaks just barely over the tall buildings that surround us. It truly is a beautiful sight. "Wow.." Millie breathes, taking in the same view. I release her hand as she continues gaping at the sunrise, laying out a comforter along the concrete floor with it touching the building's large fanned AC system that is in no longer any use due to the freezing temperatures of December.

"Hey, new girl." I call as I sit down with my back supported by the AC, pulling the second blanket I brought over my legs. Millie turns around with a genuine smile at the sight of me, shaking her head in amusement. "You're such a loser, Finn." She comments as she comes over and snuggles up next to me underneath the blanket. After minutes of sitting in a welcomed silence, staring at the slowly rising sun, a question I've been wondering to ask slips from my lips. "Do you miss it?" I hear myself ask, my eyes meeting with the soft ones that instantly lock with mine. I don't even need to hear her say it, I can already tell it's yes just from the regret in her eyes. "Miss what?" She questions dumbly, pulling herself closer to my warmth. "Home." I answer, feeling a faint frown form on my lips. "Finn.. you are my home." I move away from her eyes, wondering why is it she won't tell me the truth. "I miss it." I confess with my eyes glued to the sun, trying to pretend we're back in my camero on the night of our first kiss. But that was a sunset.. this, this is a sunrise.

"I know, I miss it too." She whispers out. "I miss everything." I admit with a sigh, letting my head lean back on the wall that also supports my back. "Like?" Millie questions curiously as I stare up at the sky. "I miss being in my camero.. I miss your room, your bay window, the lake on Keerit St., Benny's Diner, the old Starbucks coffeehouse, our hangout, hell.. even North Forsyth High." I chuckle at the last one, never thinking I'd say that. "You only miss those places because of the people you went there with, the memories you made with them there." She explains flatly, and she's right. "Yeah.. but I also miss the stupid losers who get high but are there for me anyway, my annoying brother who always has the best advice, and the grumpy smoker I worked for that treated me like his own son when my parents would always be at work. Is it bad.. that I just miss Cumming in general?" "No, because I miss it too. I'm sure all of us do.. but Finn?" Millie calls, drawing my attention to her. "Even if we can't be there now, doesn't mean we can't in the future." She states hopefully. I nod in response, letting the depressing feelings slip away in her presence.

"You wanna listen to some music?" She asks, I shrug as a smirk forms on my face. "Will you sing for me?" I query, remembering how she said 'in your dreams' to the request the first time I had asked. She smiles sheepishly, "I don't see why not." Smirking, I pull out my phone and hand it to her, letting her sit up from my arm and choose whatever song she wants. "Oh my gosh, yes! This song is my freaking jam." The brit exclaims as she begins the unfamiliar song and stands up, backing up so she has room to 'perform'. "I've been hearing symphonies.. before all I hear was silence." She sings, using my blaring phone as a mic. Already my ears are blessed. She has the voice of a goddess. "A rhapsody for you and me, and every melody is timeless." Millie sings softly, running a hand through her hair slowly. "Life was stringing me along, then you came and cut me loose." I bite my lower lip to stop myself from smiling, though it doesn't help at all when you're looking at an angel.

"Was solo, singing on my own. Now I can't find the key without you." She sings, gesturing her hand to me. "And now your song is on repeat, and I'm dancin' on to your heartbeat." As the beat starts up, she begins swaying her body and running her free hand through her hair. "And when your gone, I feel incomplete.. so if you want the truth," She winks at me as the song pauses right before the drop. "I just wanna be part of your symphony!" Millie sings, pointing to me as she dances. "Will you hold me tight and not let go?" She holds her arms across her chest, bouncing to the beat as she smiles. "Symphony...like a love song on the radio! Will you hold me tight and not let go?" Pointing to me, I force myself not to just go and pick her up right there, knowing I won't have as much time to hear her voice. She continues on singing, though it's almost like I'm not even hearing the lyrics.

I'm simply captivated by the way she dances and smiles with such a sound that only she can produce. Before I know it she's singing the chorus again. Not being able to sit still any longer, I bounce to my feet and begin twirling her around with my hand a she sings. "And now your song is on repeat, and I'm dancin' on to your heartbeat." I twirl her so that she rolls into my chest, her back pressed firmly against my chest as she looks up at me. I feel myself leaning in as she softly sings, "And when your gone I feel incomplete, so if you want the truth.." Our lips are just about to meet until she pushes me away with a flirtatious smile. "I just want to be apart of your symphony!" Raising her hand to the sky, she dances around. "Will you hold me tight and not let go? Symphony! Like a love song on the radio, will you hold me tight and not let go?" Once again, she winks at me before starting to twirl around like a ballerina as the song continues to say 'ah-ah'. She stops, knowing the chorus is coming. "And now your song is on repeat, and I'm dancin' on to your heartbeat. And when your gone I feel incomplete, so if you want the truth.." Running to her, I left her up as she then wraps her legs around my waist, letting the song play the chorus as she crashes her lips onto mine.

Wrapping her arms around my neck, she pulls herself closer as the sparks fly between us until soon enough I feel they are complete explosions. Our lips move at a rhythm, intensifying with passion at every lyric that fills our ears. I carry her the short amount of feet it takes to lay her gently on the comforter, never breaking contact except for the gasps of breath we take. Hovering over her, I quickly sit up to take off my jacket only to get pulled back down to her lips by her desperate hands. Our lips move in sync, feeling like a perfect match together just as it does to be with her. I pray this moment never ends.

Millie's POV:

My breath hitches as I slowly blink to become aware of my surroundings, or more precisely, the complexity of my surroundings. Thankfully, I quickly put together that we're still on the roof by the hard floor beneath the comforter I lay on and the blanket covering me. It takes me a few moments until I realize the warmth wrapped around me is radiated from the curly haired boy with a green beanie that sleeps silently beside me. I smile as his curls tickle my ear, his body stiffening as he then tightens his grip around me. It's only then that I realize Finn's shirt is no longer on his body, but on mine. Oh you've got to be kidding me. Carefully, I slip out of his arms and tiptoe to grab the bomber jacket I remember him throwing off himself. Quickly, I pull the completely over-sized jacket over me, feeling even smaller than I had just in his shirt and my leggings. Running a hand through my hair, I tip toe over to the wall and peek out at the bustling city. Noticing how the sun is instead of rising, setting. We're we really up here that long? I hear sheets rustling behind me, causing me to look over my shoulder at the sleepy boy who holds his body up with one hand. His chest revealed for all to see and his beanie covering the perfect amount of his hair, just enough for some curls to let loose. Somehow sleepy Finn is the hottest Finn yet. "Hey, new girl." His raspy voice greets, causing me to bite the inside of my lower lip. "Hey, beanie boy."
