Millie's POV:
"And I'm guessing you two are also a couple? Excuse me if I'm mistaken." My sister implies as she points her fork to Sadie and Caleb, catching both of their attention. "Yes ma'am, we are." Caleb confirms causing Paige to smile at his pleasantness. "I bet that makes things easy, doesn't it? Everyone has their person." She mutters to herself, not paying attention to the watchful eyes gazing at her. All eyes except Gaten's, in fact all he does is keep his head down, almost guiltily, and continues eating. What's his deal? "Anyway, tell me about yourselves. To be honest I'm pretty sick of this whole awkward silence thing." Paige says with her hands now folded on the table, staring at us all expectedly.
"Well, most of us have been friend since we were kids, since we lived in such a small town. Noah joined into our group freshman year, and Millie just this year." Gaten informs, quickly breaking away from his past phase I suppose. "Interesting. And you met these guys when, Mills?" The blue eyed brit questions with raised eyebrows at me. "First day we moved there, actually." I answer, finding it hard to believe myself when thinking about it. "Huh, must've been destiny." She jokes while bringing the water cup to her curved, smiling lips. "Must've been." Noah repeats to himself beside me as he picks at his food silently. Those few words is all he's spoken since we got here besides an introduction, at least that I know of. The rest of the dinner is silent besides the small conversations shared among our selves, all of it ending with thank you's and most of us escaping back to our rooms.
"Mills!" I hear my sister yell just as I'm about to head down the hall, causing me to turn back to her. "I want to talk to you." She explains kindly, waving me over from the kitchen as she washes the dishes. "Yeah?" I query once arriving at her side. "I just wanted to tell you that- Finn, I think he's a keeper." She admits with a smile, causing the same to appear on my face. "And I know you can't always judge people on first impressions, but from what I've seen so far, he's good." Paige adds with a nod, causing my smile to grow. "That's good." She hums as a response. "Well, wouldn't want to cut into your shut eye time. Get some good sleep, Mills." Paige advises with watchful eyes, pointing her motherly finger at me. I roll my eyes while wearing a smile, "Yeah, okay. Whatever mum." I joke, causing her to flip me off with her eyes still set on the dishes. That's my sister.

Finn's POV:
I roll over on my side, still finding it hard to sleep. I reach over to my night stand and pick up the alarm clock; 5:37 am. Rolling my eyes I let out a weary, deprived sigh. When will this night end? Glancing across the room at Caleb's separate twin bed, it's obvious that he's completely out. At least some of us can sleep. I quickly sit up in bed before swinging my legs over the side so their planted on the cold wooden floor that brings an awakening sensation to my body. Rubbing my eyes, I gaze at the clock once more to find only one minute has passed. Well, might as well get up now then. I push my self off my knees to stand before trudging out of the slightly bright room, the only light seeping through the curtains from the tiny sliver of sun peaking over the horizon. My joints crack as I walk, per usual, down the hallway to the main living space. Still wearing my plain white shirt and Nike, cotton shorts, I make my way into the kitchen with only one yawn. Noticing the coffee maker sitting on the counter, I begin opening every cabinet and scanning the inside for any kind of coffee-related substances. That is until I finally notice the silver display of creamer portions sitting beside the coffee maker.
With a small smile, I pick out one and start up the coffee. I take a step back and lean on the counter behind me with my arms crossed along with my legs, watching patiently as the line of coffee spills into the mug I found in one of the cabinets. It's only then that my attention gets ripped away by the sound of a british voice down the hall. But when my senses come to, it isn't the brit I was secretly wishing it'd be. "Where are those damn keys?" She mumbles to herself in annoyance, looking rather formal. "Morning Paige, where you off to so early?" I ask curiously as she rushes around the space, snatching her keys from the counter when she finally spots me. "Oh, morning Finn. Just to work, what's your excuse?" I shrug, "Couldn't sleep." She frowns and nods in pity, "Sorry to hear that.. Well, I better go if I don't want to be late. Have a good day and don't cause any trouble." Paige swiftly replies, already to the door when the coffee has finished brewing. "No promises- have fun!" I respond cheekily just as she closes the door. Still rejuvenated from the small conversation, I take a swig from my mug as I take a seat at the much smaller, round table that sits just outside the kitchen part of the apartment.
Just then in walks the younger, much lovelier.. in my opinion, Miss Brown. I unknowingly smile at the sight of her with her messy yet still attractive bedhead and makeup-less face. How did I ever get so lucky? "Morning, babe." I mutter while taking another sip of the piping coffee. She furrows her brows, "Babe? When did we start saying 'babe'?" I shrug, feeling a small sense of stupidity for saying it in the first place. That's the thing, we never did. "It slipped." I mumble, hoping not for her to hear as I take another sip. "Okay.. well anyway," She brushes it off quickly as she joins me at the table with her own mug of energy. "I was hoping we could walk around the streets today, y'know.. just get a feel for the city." Millie suggests with both of her small hands wrapped around her warm mug. Adorable. "I guess we could do that." I agree while moving my free hand up to adjust my beanie, but feeling naked when I realize it's not there. Millie notices my actions and smiles sweetly, "Don't worry, you'll still be 'beanie boy' to me until the day you die. Beanie or not." I raise a brow at the brit as I wear a smile, "Are you indicating that you'll still be with me until the day I die?" She shrugs as her smile grows, "Possibly."

"Alright, so? Just because you saw that doesn't mean shit. It's not like they were kissing or anything." I protest, to which he shakes his head doubtfully. "You don't get it, Finn. This is Gaten we're talking about, the same curly headed freak that also had a crush on her in middle school but let me have her anyway. Who says those feelings ever left?" The dark skinned teen rants out. I simply continue searching through the closet for my beanie with my jaw clenched. "He's not a 'freak'." I mutter, remembering how often he got bullied with the name in elementary school. "Alright, maybe he's not. But I feel like it's at least a little appropriate for me to worry, right?" I let out a sigh, "I don't know, Caleb. Even if what you saw that night is what you think, why would Gaten ever let himself come between you and Sadie?" Caleb drastically shrugs as he sits down on his bed. "Well, oh, I don't know Finn- possibly if Sadie has feelings for him too?!" He sarcastically remarks. Finding my dark green beanie, I pull it over my wild curls and roll my eyes at him. "Will you shut up about this already? Nothings happening between Gaten and Sadie, end of story. Now I'm going out with Millie and Noah to walk around the city, if you want to come with us, fine. I really don't care at this point." I begin walking to the bedroom door but get stopped by his fast questioning.
"What ever happened to sticking together? O-Or being my friend who will stay and listen to me when I need them most? Huh?" Caleb spits out rapidly. I let my hand drop from the door handle, turning back to him with my jaw still clenched. He stands from his bed, walking right up to me until we're almost chest to chest besides the one finger he points to my face. "I'm worried about the relationship of my dreams. A-And you? You're no where to help. Y-Your supposed to be the one there for me!" He cries angrily, almost to the point that I think he might cry. "Now all you ever do is pay attention to her!" He yells, of course bringing Millie into this. "That's not true." I state. "Yes it is, and you know it!" Caleb scolds, pressing his hands on my chest and pushing me back a step. "What changed, Finn... huh? What.. what happened?" Caleb asks as he calms down slowly, backing away with his arms out as if to test me. "...She happened." I answer flatly through gritted teeth as I rush out of the room, slamming the door shut on my way out.
