*Ring Ring*
I closed my alarm and opened my eyes. The day that I've dreaded has finally come. Today is the day that I'm going to China and leaving Canada. Let me give an introduction of myself. My name is Samantha Rose and i'm 17 years old. You can call me Sam cause that's what everyone calls me. My mom met my dad in China when my dad was just visiting China. Then they got married and all that stuff. Then when I was 5 they decided that it would be a good idea to move to Canada, my dad's home country. It all started last week. I heard my parents downstairs arguing over something. When I got down I finally heard what they were arguing about. My grades have never been good so my mom thought that it was a good idea to go to school in China for 2 years and then come back so I'm smart enough to come back with a grade which will get me completely ready for university. My dad on the other hand was defending me because he thought that it would be fine to just stay in Canada. My parents never fought and I didn't want them to.
"I'll go," I said. They both looked at me surprised
"Really?" my mom asked.
"Honey you really don't have to if you don't want to" My dad said.
"No, it's fine," I said. But the truth was that it wasn't fine. I really didn't want to leave my parents.
Now back to reality. I look at myself in the mirror. My brown hair was tangled and messy as usual.
"Sam it's time to go" My mom yelled. I grabbed my suitcase and looked around the room for one last time.
"See you in 2 years" I said. We all drove in silence to the airport. I was about to board the plane when my mom got all teary eyes.
"Mom it's ok I'll be fine" I comforted her. I don't have any friends in Canada anyways so maybe this is a chance to have a fresh start.
