Chap 15

Sam POV

The three days without Jackson passed by very quickly. Although I was incredibly bored in class, Ben was outside of the class, waiting for me every single time. Ben was like the cute little brother that I had always wished for but never got. Everyday, we would go to the library, sometimes to study, sometimes to just hang out. I got close with Cassie and Katie again as well. We began to do everything together and had so much fun.

I was in the bubble tea store a few blocks from the school with Ben when I received a text from Jackson.

I'm coming back to school in half an hour. Where are you? - Justin

At the bubble tea place with Ben - Sam

Half an hour later, I look out the window and see something very strange. Jackson comes out of an expensive black van and a 30 year old man hands him his backpack. He begins walking towards the store and I put my head down. I had no idea why I was hiding from him but I just felt very nervous.

"Sam, what are you doing?' I come back to reality and see Ben looking at me, confused. I quickly gets up and does a big stretch

"Nothing. Just a little tired." Right as I was doing a full 360 arm swing, Jackson came walking in. I sat down immediately, too embarrassed to look at him in the eye. I feel him walking closer and closer until he is standing right next to me.

"Hi." It was the familiar cold voice that I didn't even realize I missed. I quickly looked up and awkwardly smiled.

"Hi. You might not remember me so I'll just introduce myself again. My name is Ben and I'm Sam's friend. We met one time in the cafeteria. Remember." Ben, like always, began talking non stop not giving me and Jackson the opportunity to talk at all. Jackson gives a polite nod and turns back to me.

"What are you doing here? Don't you have homework to do?" Jackson asked.

"Ben and I just finished studying here but we decided to stay for a while and talk." I said. Jackson nodded again. "Let's get back to school again before it gets late."

The three of us arrive back at the school entrance, not knowing what to do next. "I'll walk you back to your dorm." Ben said with a smile as usual. I looked at Jackson, looking for a sign of any emotion. I felt as if the atmosphere was very cold but I wasn't sure if that was just because it's a little cold.

Just as Jackson was about to say something, I cut in "Ben can just walk me back. He's been doing it for the past 3 days because we always stay at the library pretty late. I'll see you in class tomorrow." I wasn't sure if Jackson felt awkward with the entire situation so I quickly made the decision of letting Ben walk her back.

From observing his facial expressions, I was unable to detect any disturbance. I waved a goodbye to Jackson and dragged Ben away, walking as fast as I could.

Blaire: I feel very bad for not updating for the past few days but I've been really busy. I will probably post on Saturday and Sunday like usual but I can never promise any specific time during the week because online school is killing me.
