I was so embarrassed but Justin looked just fine. For some reason I got really mad at him. For not caring, for meeting me in the first place. I stood up and ran out of the cafeteria holding in the tears.
When I finally got to the bathroom, I locked myself in a stall and cried until I was pretty sure that no more tears could come out anymore. I took out my phone and looked at the time. "Oh shoot" I thought. I must've been crying too hard because I didn't even hear the bell ring. This is great first day of school and I've already managed to miss a class. Oh god how much trouble am I going to be in.
Jackson P.O.V
I started worrying, after what happened in the cafeteria I assumed that she would still come to class. Girls have their stupid little breakdowns but they should be fine after. But why didn't she come to class? She probably going to get detention for missing class I better go check on her.
Sam P.O.V
I stayed in the stall for a while but I soon felt better. I was about to go and wash my face when two girls came in. "That was hilarious" one girl said. "Did you see her face when everyone started chanting" another girl said.
I started tearing up again. Today was my first day but I still managed to screw up and I am now known as Mrs.nerd. After awhile I calmed and started walking back to my class. When I got out of the the bathroom I found Justin waiting outside of the washroom.
"What are you doing here" I ask in an annoyed voice. "Listen Sam" he started saying "just stop I don't want to hear it" I said while walking away. I was so annoyed and just wanted to get away.
I was so lost in thought that I bumped into Mrs.Wang and boy she looked mad. "So Sam first day of school and you're already missing classes huh?" she said. I knew I couldn't defend myself because what would I say? "Oh I missed a class because I got embarrassed in the cafeteria.
"One week of detention should get you to realize that there are consequences for the things you do" Mrs.Wang said sternly. My eyes widened ONE WEEK! The first day of school and I get one week of detention can the day get any worse? I suddenly see Justin run up to Mrs.Wang
"Mrs.Wang I was the reason why she missed class please don't get mad at her and if you are giving someone a punishment please give to me" He said. I was so shook. It was so sweet of him to help me in the situation.
"Justin you know I can't give you detention, you are already busy enough even if you wanted to you won't be able to squeeze time to do it" She said. I got really confused. What does she mean by she can't give it to him. Does he get a special treatment because he's rich or something?
"You know what, Sam I'll let you off of the hook this time but if you miss class again there's going to be no excuses!" Mrs.Wang said. "Of course Mrs.Wang thank you so much" I said. After Mrs.Wang left it was just Justin and I standing there awkwardly.
"Thanks for helping me. I didn't mean to run ou-" I said breaking the silence
"Oh no it's fine it was my fault anyways" he said, interrupting me.
"So bye" I said walking away as fast as I can. My heart was pounding as I walked back to class.
